  1. Big handup for Seagulls Captain Pete. 👍. Always the consummate gentleman, and organiser. Tad unlucky not to make the finals after a slow start, but as always a fun comp to be part of. Thanks PJ. 🏆
  2. thanks Howie, i really enjoyed being part of your team, you certainly add a lot to these great comps He sure does, I have never had so much sleep. ZZZZzzzzzzzzzz
  3. Invercargill Harness tomorrow. Race 7 & 8 ---anyone . ??
  4. Being the loan selector on that one, I will put my hand up and confess it was a pure fluke after No 16 was scratched, and just threw in the first one that sounded nice to the ear. ðŸĪŠ.

  7. Better unbox the hat PJ, can see Rex giving P Pete some grief. Unless Porky comes up with a blinder of course and keeps me in the race. 👍
  8. Genius ??, I think the term sadistic was mentioned.
  9. And just to compound the issue , the first Jewels at Addington ( Harewood and myself where there) was the coldest wettest day one could imagine. Sleet and hail, a complete waste of time for some of the horses on the day. Ashburton was great, still cold on occasions but a great atmosphere.
  10. Mate Im still buzzing, what could have been for this team. When its time to go to bed I shall reread yr thesis and watch sleep creep up on me.ðŸĪĢ
  11. Well done Maria. You didn't need me after all. Phhhttt. I knew Paul would be a good addition to the team.👍
  12. Just kidding Pete, as per message. 👍😍
  13. Barb, Barb, this isn't making my against total look good at all. Did Pete do this purposely ?. ðŸĪĢ
  14. How about we throw out the worst team in the semis and give a real team a go. ? . Just asking for a friend. 😜
  15. Great picking by the trot boys. ðŸ˜ĩ‍ðŸ’Ŧ.
  16. R1 9-16 R2 6-11 R3 1-4 R4 6-12 R5 4-14 BB R6 6-8 R7 1-5 R8 5-10 BB R9 7-8 R10 2-14 All the best Barb
  17. Just to reiterate Pete. I had no 3 Kaipake Jack in the 2nd.
  18. Pete missed my winner in the second and managed the last two quinellas. Jolimont, how good was he LB ,and you would be smiling after the trot race , Aussie 1-2-3-4. and I feel a bit aggrieved for Self Assured, just getting trapped the last couple of races and climbing all over them at the end.
  19. Yep, and nice to have one that's going to be run properly. Just saying.😉
  20. R1 2-7-8 R2 3-10-12 R3 4-10-12 BB R4 1-4-9 R5 1-5-6 R6 1-3-8 BB R7 5-6-7 R8 7-9-11 R9 2-5-10

R7 5 Faith In Manchester ( Running good races of late, live chance) Broke up but finished well ---- R8 9 Jolimont (Mark up and 25mtr start on RP) 1rst $2.50 R9 10 Self assured ( Gets the right run up to winning this) Still waiting for some luck in running. Wins 1 2nds 1 3rds 1 Total Spend $90 Return $25 Loss $65 Total Races 160 Wins 37 2nds 23 3rds 28 Total Spend $1432 Return $1154 Loss $278
  22. Karrots ,he should be close tomorrow against that class of horse over 2700, and I would be surprised if he wasn't fighting out the finish. Jolimont will be interesting with a 1rst stand start, but if he gets away cleanly he should by all accounts be fighting out the finish as well.
  23. That was about 1966, I was in my last year at Intermediate and a bit before I took a more in depth interest in racing. Can only remember Best Bets and Turf Digest.
  24. Definitely. Turf Digest had one for midweek and one for weekend. There was Sports Post in Wgtn, part of the Evening Post. Don't remember a Sports week Robert.
