To win:

The Tigers need Life Less Ordinary to win for Maurice

OR

Carif to win for Tom (must pay $28.50+ or Master of Wine to complete the Q)

Hall of Fame need a Mustajeer - Master of Wine quinella in that order and hope it pays enough

Roland's Roughnecks need Come Play with Me to win for Gordy 7 Jen (4-1 win)

OR

Angel of Truth to win for Roland

OR

Djukon to win for Jen

Hall of Fame couldn't get the quinella in the right order so Maximillions held on comfortably to win taking a bonus point for the 4-1 margin. Everyone got the final winner with quinellas for Graeme, Stevie, Jamison and Midnight C with a BB landed by Max and BB quinellas for Heather, Rob & Robert. Georgy was an outstanding Man of the Match with his opponent Midnight Caller MVP for HOF.

Life Less Ordinary loomed up on the turn for Tigers but couldn't go on with it so Much Too Fast ran out the winners. No bonus points were earned. All bar Craig and Maurice on the Berry bolter with quinellas for Ashoka and Zac while BB quinellas were snagged by Sharne, Howie and Much Too Fast MVP Rex. Jill was Match Star with a great total (welcome back).

Despite 3 lives chances Roland's Roughnecks couldn't pull it back in the last but can console themselves with a bonus point for a higher aggregate. Covid-Y took the lead after race 9 and held on to win. All bar Roughneck duo Jen & Gordy and Covid-Y pair Porky & Ray on the final winner with quinellas for Rocky and Gary. Gee was Man of the match despite two winners of 3 paying under $4.00 while Ziggy edged Porky for Covid MVP honours.

285.00 Gee

3 JAMES GANG

$612.20

2 points

The big turnaround in the last came here where Steve P bagged a BB to win the tied match over Punter Pete and Jack snagged a quinella to reel in Virgil and capture the win for the James Gang. John (also with a quinella) and TC scored in the last for Five-Oh who took a bonus point for a higher aggregate while all the James Gang landed the final quinella bar Steve P who doubled up with a BB. Five-Oh's Moose was Man of the Match while Blind Squirrel with 5 wins in the last 7 races was MVP for the winners. Given the result of the John vs Hesi match the James Gang were less than $1 away from a 4-1 result and a bonus point !

Well done, 'Much Too Fast' lads ! We trailed for much of the race against one of the stronger teams in the comp, The Tigers, but we finished strongly from the 300m mark and in the end a good win.

Rex was in red-hot form with a lovely total, Zac did the business against a highly-rated Sharne, and Craig....next time, young fella.

When you get nailed early on by a 19-1 Best Bet there are very, very few who can come back from that ! But Ashoka is one of those very few ...and five winners later he very, very nearly pulled it off. Great performance, Ashoka.

Hard luck, The Tigers, you've got a strong line-up and will win many more than you lose, I'm sure of that. Well done to Jill, Match Star today. impressive aggregate and a great acquisition for the Tigers.

Thanks for today's top entertainment, PJ, for your always top class scoring and commentating.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend, folks.

Well done,Maximillions and don't take take too much notice of the scoreboard. Still it's better to be in front than behind at the end of Rd 1...the big question of the day..who is this newbie Georgy Boy, debuting with a $600+ total on a day when winners and wuffie winners were very hard to find...well, whoever he is. he's earned his Super Comp wings very early indeed.

Thanks for the match, Hall of Famers, you coulda stolen it in the last but it was a strange old day and those late scratchings made it hard for you to sneak ahead. Early days in a long long Comp. Cheers, PJ..another fab job ..don't let the Cabin Fever get ya down!

I have woken blurry eyed this morning. Checked PJ's results, Checked my picks scribbled on the back of Racing Post to see R3 3 -9  circled,(it was all about the jock) wtf!🙄Normally I'd give myself an uppercut! But no complaints when beaten by a superb BB.Great work Georgy.HOF, happy to sit 3 lengths off the leaders on settling.

Great competition as per usual PJ
