How much per year for upkeep for a young broodmare? Not service fees, just agistment ...

At the property I utilize,  charges range from $25 per day, wintertime,  down somewhat in summertime.

These relate to racing stock and obviously,  includes hard feed twice daily, rugs on/off, attention to teeth and feet, and regular worming as well.

A broodmare will generally not require rugging,   but a good property will make decisions depending upon the needs of an Individual.  An older mare, or one recently out of training, may need to be rugged to maintain condition.  A fatty won't need to be fed the same, but appropriate mineral supplements still must be given.

There may be cheaper options,  but few better.  IMO.
