Maximus
R5 #11 Main Stage FF $8 and $2.20 in an 8-horse field. Main Stage was a classy 3yo, Vic Derby contender in his year. Back to something like his old form recently with two 2nds at SANDOWN over 1600m on wet ground April/May but failed same trip last two starts. Up to 1800m now, should be rock hard fit and will relish the extra 200m. With a certain D.Oliver aboard, Max reckons he's a GET ON in this field. Served by some good stallions but didn't leave much from memory. The only one i can think of is Triple Strike who stood at stud for a while after failing on track unless he got injured..He was by Taipan. Only had one start
mardigras
Might just have to hop in the old truck and head across to see how it goes.
