Showtime a new sire so won't have any broodmares just yet.

Can you give us a clue Peter?  In what year was the Group 1 race won?

2014 was the year this sire recorded a Gr1 winner with his first runner as a broodmare sire

Eurozone,Hallowed Crown or Star Spangled Banner.

Other than them i'm runnin on empty.

Most of these are too young to have many runners as a broodmare sire. This stallion is a much better sire than any of these

Friday Trivia:

The Manawatu Challenge Stakes is run on Saturday. 44 years ago a small field of just 7 contested this event, the potential opposition scared away by 3 Champions who took each other on over the mile at WFA. Can you -

a) name the 3 Champions and their trainers and jockeys

b) give the correct placings including the "dark horse" who ruined the fave trifecta by claiming 3rd

c) tell me what the winner paid (win/place)

If i am a year out it would be

Grey Way      M Campbell   Corboy

Copper Belt   G.Phillips       K Gray

Master Morgan Chris McNab  A Rodgers from the mighty Gisborne

The first 2 are champions with Furys order the other champion finishing 4th with N.Harris up trained by

Bridgman or McCEWAN/Gestro
