Thank you my friends for your kind words of congratulations. It's been a long time between drinks, but the racing gods were kind to me this time around. I'll be savouring the success for sure, becau

And for those with a passing interest in Harness. Watch our horse Majestic Man take on the best at the Ribbon of Light in the National Trot Grp1. 👍

Not bad for an amateur Howie. Well done bud. Great comp though and the Raceplace is the place to be thanks to PJ,s influence.  Long may it continue.🙂

Did I hear that Darci La Bella was late-scratched because the jockey was overweight ?

If so ....... disappointing. 😒

If so, sad because she is such a talented rider but weight problems already while still an apprentice

She's had weight problems before but I read somewhere where she felt she had it under control.

Could just be a Xmas thing. I hope so as she clearly has talent.

Both La Strata and Keen to Run ran in a mdn 1300m at Hawera on 10th October 2020. The winner of that race, Tellall went on to win his next 2 races. Vineyard McPhee and Harry Hewitt have also gone on to win.

Indy Fox who finished 3rd in that race is lining up in race 6 today.

cheers

Some close contests in the H-T-Hs.

Just $7 separates Geoff and Hesi and only 60 cents the difference between VS and Richie !

Jill and Rob, Dancing Show and Graeme plus Roland and TC all in great battles while a terrific tussle ensues between Jen and Ngakonui G !!

The next race looks one of the more even 'go's of the day ..... and I'm wondering now if 'Ata Rangi' is about ready third-up to put it's foot in the till. I.m prepared now to say it is, with the Fixed Price $26 very tempting.
Yeah ..why not ...I'll have a crack. 😁.
Stablemate 'Celebre' has just won it's race, so I'm looking now for back-to-back success for the John Bell team.

Best move that Geoff has ever made ..... phoning the '0800-howiecanyouhelp' hotline.
Credit to Geoff - he's a good listener ..... and starting to reap the rewards. 😁

Another favourite winner so not much change at the top although Porky bags a beaut BB quinella to race up to 4th and Von Smallhausen bags a BB to break into the top 5. 6-Reliable Miss (even though it's favourite) is not a good result for me in the last, given that those immediately above and immediately below me are all on it.
That's what happens when scores are so condensed.
So I better sink a truckload on Reliable Miss to weigh her down a tad. 😄
