6. New Plymouth R6 - 3.23pm - Whitaker Civil Construction 1600 - $10k, 1600m, R65 BM

7. New Plymouth R7 - 3.59pm - Powerworx Taranaki Cup Feb 6th - $10k, 1200m, R65 BM

Why do they bother. A 7 race program with very small fields on the worst track in NZ.  Take out the locals and what do they have? Should still be at Stratford where they could at least fill 9 races of reasonable size with a monster crowd at this time of year.

Totally agree on your comments re Stratford Maurice, just laughable that summer racing has been smashed. They just don't get it, haven't had a bet on NP track for years, anything wins there and locals have a big advantage, just a sxxxhole course
