I took the first two races at Eagle Farm which had 18+ runners (R1 & R3). The draw is then made this way. I write down the first race draws in racebook order (matching numbers to the alphabet - 1 =A, 2=B and so on) then in the next column write down the second race draws in racebook order. Then the order of posting is attributed to the first horse in the first race then the first horse in the second race and so on. Dancing Show posted first and the first horse in the first race is matched to her. It drew 5 so she becomes the first half of the draw for Match E. Jen posted second so she is matched to the first horse in the second race which drew 7, becoming the second participant in Match G and so on. Sounds complicated but brilliantly easy and fair....
