A chance for competitors to wear their regional identity proudly (or otherwise) and show us who really are the champs. Current title holders are the magnificent Ferdies who romped to an 8 length point win in the Winter slog with the Chiefs (led by comp top scorer Jack) and the Crusaders filling the minors. The Blues were all at sea in the wet (strange for Jaffas) but the nucleus of their side have shown some terrific Summer form in recent weeks while the Kauri Kats never went an inch in the mud obviously worried about wet paws. The Hurricanes, Barbarians and Turbos will look to improve on their mid-table mediocrity from last time: 2020 Winter Super Comp Championship Final Table 1st 24 FERDIES $7832.20 2nd 16 CHIEFS $8737.20 3rd 15 CRUSADERS $7039.80 4th 14 HURRICANES $7004.20 5th 13 BARBARIANS $5798.80 6th 10 TURBOS $6718.20 7th 4 BLUES $7664.20 8th 2 KAURI KATS $7013.60 This version is the T20 of Super Comps - a 7 week quickfire league competition - no Finals Series, full intense involvement for everyone for 7 straight Saturdays. Standard Super Comp Format - 10 races, two tips per race, 2 best bets plus One Joker play across the 7 rounds and a new twist: You will not be able to see your opponents picks before you post ! This all kicks off on Januray 23rd, Karaka Million Day and will run until March 6th - NZ Derby , Randwick Guineas, Newmarket Hdcp day. A mixture of NZ and Oz races depending on the day's program. None from Gilgandra unfortunately ! What I need over the next week is expressions of interest. The will be a 7 day window for players from the Winter Comp to confirm their participation for the same team again. They should also advise if they wish to leave that side and go into the player pool or apply to play for another side. So when you enter please state your preference, either: A Stay with your current team B Leave your current team and go into the player pool or apply for a different team C New players or past players who didn't participate in the Winter Champs can apply for a spot in a team or just be happy to go into the player pool and be assigned to a team. Please state clearly what your preference is. If you are new, returning or not staying with your current team then you may list up to 3 preferences for who you wish to join.
