Is there a Grand National Carnival this year?

I have too many holidays (apparently) so am trying to work out a Racing Holiday.

I haven't been to a Grand National Carnival for a long time.

I'd only go if there are Jump Races!

I believe our CEO has indicated that plans are for a G.N. this year.

But, general opinion is that jumping is finished in the South.  Once Riverton and Timaru are dispensed with ( as per the Grand Plan )  there will be only Dunedin and Riccarton left to host jumps races.

That gives little incentive to have a jumper in work and most can't see why North Island stables would bother to support one lonely race.

We can see the National heading north...and why shouldn't it?
