Maximus
Quote from the latest PR bulletin from NZTM .. A wide draw and little luck in transit prevented glamour mare Melody Belle (NZ) (Commands) adding to her illustrious record ... or maybe she just wasn't good enough on the day. Not saying she would've won but there was no way she was going to get near them from that far back the way the track was playing. She actually ran on ok.

A few tracks in Aus have always favoured on pacers. Rosehill, Caulfield. Here we have. Ruakaka, Avondale, Te Aroha, Timaru.
Hesi
Miami Bound drew one outside her and finished third....no excuses It is ironic though, the way even the Aussies talk her up She has 1 more G1 win than Sunline, and 3 more than Rough Habit. I would venture to say, that she does not even deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as those other 2. All but one of those 14 G1's was in NZ, whereas Sunline and Rough Habit, regularly proved themselves at G1 level in Aus
