He's my outstanding #13 of all time. Pace, balance and defence. He just glided through gaps.

Gordy
Centre would have to be Philippe Sella, 111 tests, first player to reach 100.
Maximus
any other true believers/idiots like max out there backing the blackcaps to win at $8.30 or better?

It's a tough ask - the rate of 3+ per over is quite high for what NZ has shown, and the last 3 days.
Hesi
They are doing quite well so far with a night watchman!, just over 200 to get in 2 sessions. Preservation of wickets is the key, you saw what happened in their first innings. If they lose 4-5 wickets in the second session, the pressure will be too much for the last 4 batsmen
Maximus
well we are paying the price for being too tentative..its not as if its turning square..Taylor, Nicholls Williamson all out and hardly a shot in anger. Would've preferred to see Southee or Jamieson come in when Latham departed and strike a few lusty blows and spread the field. But no ,its block block block, out out out.. now its dunny door cricket and hope we dont choke in the last 20 overs. Grrr.

The wicket was low, 6 lbw's out of 9 wickets. The first day was the only day where even 3 runs an over was achieved. When Taylor came in, NZ was already at 50s to win and we were only 3 down needing 4s per over. That was probably a reasonable reflection of the chance at that point - very low.
Hesi
I think they realised early on that the target was beyond them, and closed up after lunch. You have to remember that Jadeja and Ashwin are the 2 best spinners in the world at the moment, by quite a margin, and have remarkable control and guile
