Okay, welcome back everyone !

Please see the original thread for rules and format. Please post 3 selections per race for the races listed below. $10 EW on each plus box quinellas and trifectas will apply. Choose one race each round as your Best Bet. Posting in numerical order always helps me e.g. 2,5,7. As with the Tour of Australasia you will be matched in a HTH 10 minutes before the first comp race. Any questions, please ask.

Also be aware the first teams comp of 2022 will kick off on Saturday Jan 15. I will be calling for entries at the conclusion of this comp. It will be a draft version !

Comp closes at 1.59pm - HTH draw will follow 10 mins before comp R1.

4. Ellerslie R7 - 3.54pm - Stella Artois Championship Final - $90k, 1500m, SP Cond

5. Ellerslie R8 - 4.29m - Hallmark Stud Hdcp (LR) - $80k, 1200m, open hdcp

6. Ellerslie R9 - 7.10pm - Cambridge Stud Zabeel Classic (Gr1) - $240k, 2000m, WFA

Jolly creepers the abacus got stuck on the toppy.

Enjoy, as I fondly  reminesce about the wonderful all day barbecues and the many vinos in the Ellerslie infield I enjoyed for 20 plus years as we awaited the running of the Derby.  And we call it progress, but few attend these days which is very very sad.

Loved sitting on the roof section of the old public stand.Being 100m off the finish and up high you saw everything.

Yep, been there as well.  Watched Uncle Remus win the Derby from there.  The stand was capacity, and as UR shot clear at the top of the straight, everyone stood and applauded as the horse increased its lead all the way down to the finish line

Ellerslie was my home when i lived in Auckland and saw many of the Horses spoken about , two of my favourites I saw win were LA MER when she came from dead last never went around a horse .... brilliantly ridden along the fence by des harris and Grey Way who came up from the south to win the Easter Cup.
