Lightning Blue
Well I thought at near $1/2 Million purchase Regazzo Mach was gunna be the next big thing and win them in a row undefeated. Was quite a bit disappointed tonight in Perth , when the mucher cheaper NZ purchase of IDEAL AGENT from the North Island waltzed away from him . IDEAL AGENT was a fairly moderate performer around Cambridge /Auckland for Andy Neal last summer/Autumn with one win this year for him. Tonight at Gloucester Park Ideal Agent was pressured by Regazzo Mach down the back straight , but then pulled right away by 6 lengths . thought it would be the other way round . Maybe Ideal Agent will be the next big thing?? toting out a 1.53.5 personal best.
karrotsishere
Thanks for the update. Find it hard to sometimes figure out which horse will do well in Aus & which won't. Guessing & just guess factors such as some suit different style of races, some suit different tracks, faster times, weather, some might be on the improve here as do recall Ideal Agent was getting a wee bit better prior leaving. And some don't. Feel free anyone else to put in possible reason as to why a horse may improve or not show as much as it did.

They paid over the odds for a horse who while very talented didn't set the world alight against strong fields in NZ. Sure, he won the southern supremacy but it was a moderate field. Expectations and hype might be a little higher than his actual ability but one run won't determine that. His worth will be determined by his performance in big money races rather than the 18K last night.

For the punters, the 2 horses go around again Race 3 tonight at Gloucester Park with Regazzo Mach at $1.60 and Ideal Agent is $5.00 Considering IDEAL AGENT waltzed in by 6-7 lengths last meeting, can't see why the former Cambridge horse can't do it again?. Tomorrow at Menangle Luke McCarthy sure to win a few races as normal. Race 5 at Menangle, see's 'Stylish Memphis' popping over from NZ at $2.00 odds only? and McCarthy at $5 with MUSCLE FACTORY.!! Muscle factory breaking 1.50 mile recently is in blistering form. Stylish Memphis just battled at Auckland recently. So there you go !! a IDEAL AGENT - MUSCLE FACTORY double @ $25.00. great chance of rolling in 500/20. 1
Happy Sunrise
$11.30 the tote for Ideal Agent. Ragazzo going to struggle to break even running seconds for owners.

Regazzo Mach had a $15,000 bet on him last night not long before race. He came in from $1.60 to $1.20 . Ideal Agent blew 5-1 out to 10-1 as a result. unfortunately I was stuck with the 5-1 , but a good win for the horse . Ideal Agent sat parked out to win and they went 1.52 (pretty good going for Perth)

The Fast class $50k race last night at Perth, had 4 of Team Bonds and 4 of Team Halls in it . All 8 were ex-kiwis. Bond trifecta. MINSTREL who ran 2nd started 2nd Fav in The Chariots of Fire last year behind Expensive Ego .(so really is an exceptional horse.) And looks like RD Butt, and JD Butt have retained shares too. !! good on them . He is gunna win BIG , and the big stakes WA races are on soon. .. Very good 2nd last night in 1.52.!!! Minstrel is a beauty.!!!! Former top horse Chicago Bull (61 wins from 99) can't go with them anymore ...(unplaced last 4 now )

Never been to Perth . too far away. was easier zapping back and forth to NZ. don't know that bloke. Tell you who is still in the game is Tim Butt. shifting to Brisbane next month after unsuccessful stint in Victoria past year. He was at Menangle for a long time, until McCarthy's bulk stable fast wins 'blew Tim's team to piece's' and they were flat as pancakes. Is interesting to note McCarthy's didn't even get a single placing last Sat night, and were in every race too. Kiwi lad Jack Trainor won 3 races and they (Menangle trainers) all have seemed to have 'Caught Up' to Luke now a little bit in the 'everyday' races . even pipped him in Interdominion Final big race too. Tim Butt has bought or leased a property just north of Brisbane , I should go ask for a job and can tell him where he's going wrong lol....... No he should do very well really. Dixon, Butler and McMullen take most of the races here inBrisbane, so he (Tim) should be able to match them ok.
Field Commander
Last horse I remember Nevin Botica racing was Dudinkas Cullen. Trainer Tim Butt.
