Upon reflection..still feel gutted for 'MJ' that Delightful Lady was transferred out of his stable late in her career!

I think she was leased and the lease ran out ?? so the 'real' owner an elderly bloke, put her with Hillier after?

wouldn't of been anything Mike did  . just different person paying her bills with own trainer preference.

Easily the horse I saw win the most races live, by nearly double anything else too.

Saw a bit of Delightful Lady after her retirement and she always looked beautiful.    She worked with Isabell Roddick's  (Rough Habit)  brother and pulled carriages for folk celebrating weddings etc.

One of my faves and possibly not in the same champ realm as some of these...   Diedre Don  🙂

Elsu and Enterprise

Elsu,  following hard in the champ Gammalite's footsteps by taking An Interdominion Grand Final and Auckland Cup at Alexandra Park , but coming up just short in a couple of Nz Cup attempts at Addington.

Enterprise , also had a brilliant Auckland Cup win driven by Wolfie , and in the photo above had gone in as a solid kiwi Rep to take on Preux Chevalier and Village Kid at the 1985 Interdominion. He won a heat , but didn't make the GrandFinal , so took out the Consolation instead.

Without doubt False Step

Three time NZ Cup winner in the late 50's !!! . including winning NZ Cup off 48yard handicap 1960 for Ces Devine.

Interesting to note Hesi, FALSE STEP  in 1960 also went to that Interdominion in Sydney we were talking about earlier in this thread where 50,000 people jammed in to see CADUCEUS win off the backmark at Harold Park, Sydney.

The Aussies jammed False Step way back on 36yard handicap with Caduceus as well , to try and beat the kiwi greats.

It didn't work, and Caduceus still Won , with False Step un-placed on that mammoth occasion in history.

And an old near 100 year old photo of one of the most Important pacers to have graced our shores.

Winner of many in Australia including from 135 yards behind handicap, (was 2nd off 230 yards once) He did campaign in NZ as well off huge handicaps, but couldn't get into the placings against the kiwi's.

Who is this giant of the 'G's great? why is he so Great ?

At 'G' now . G for go and this boy could Go alright.

This horse could well be the Best in All trotting History !!

Would probably of been competitive these days if foaled this century.

GlobeDerby will know him , but can anyone else name this Greatest of All-time Legend?
