Tom & harness heroes LB and Harewood got us over the line and even though Jack & I didn't win it helped to get a bonus point. As always thanks PJ , this is the best comp going. I hope you get a buyer for your yearling. Cheers. Tough game Craig but congrats on your win. I thought that bloody yapper behind the stumps would have been too busy watching cricket. Nice work Reapers, impressive hit out by all 5 team members, 1700 points first up. Thanks for another fine comp PJ 3
Dancing Show
Cheers Ian and the team for the match, although that might be saluting the judge well after the race is won as I'm sure you are already clinking enough glasses in celebration on what I can only imagine was a good day on the punt at GC going by your selections. A brill team effort ONG 🙂 My hot baches, beaut first up outing, bonus point for team total on a day that was promising so much more by the hair of a chinny chin chin 🙂 Well done Steve P, Happy, Blind Squirrel and Pam, what a team 🙂 I think it will be a fun Summer 🙂 Thanks PJ as always *hugs* on a tough day for you.
VC!
Thanks Maria/ BS and the rest of the Hotties for an exceptional first up match, I believe it was heads up heads down that possibly swung the match in our favour, apologies to the Squirrel he had a great day out himself. Great start team ( Zig Stevie SS Globe) some fine tipping there, against quality opposition rest up boys it ain’t looking any easier next week. A great day at the GC today although one feels like I was playing Russian Roulette with Omnicron and the size of the crowd, how good is that Kiwi Jock J Mac wins the Everest Melbourne Cup and now the Magic Millions All the best PJ with your Colt hopefully Will Freedman comes to the party, and the scope was nothing too major, looking forward to our H2H match up next week PJ, until then Cheers
TooFast
Thanks for the game yesterday, Pete and the Wurzels. Fortunately for us Yahabeebes we built up a handy lead early on in 3 of the 5 match-ups, and were able to hang on from there. Got very nervous late in proceedings when Moz's 'Chapter And Verse' was threatening to snatch defeat for us from the jaws of our victory .... but fortunately common sense prevailed. 😊Rob confirmed for us the value of team-members' trailing in their individual match-ups but playing a vital role in ensuring additional points for the team. Rob's successful BB in the last saw us squeak over ther Team Profit line for an extra point and as a result 3rd for the day instead of 4th. We've got a fine Yahabeebe team here in Heather, Richie, Rob & Wrinkles ... but we're gonna have to remain ever vigilant as many individuals within the other teams performed very well yesterday, most notably several of the "newbies". Settle down, people, and when up against Yahabeebe know your role. 😊 Next week is big challenge for us, we're up against comp stalwart Craig and his 2nd-placed Mr Aybees outfit. A stern challenge for us indeed. Thank you for another fine PJ Comp, PJ. It's gotten off to a fine start, with lots of chatter and banter and successful tipping. See you next week folks. Mr Aybees ....you rest up ...... the mountain you will have to climb will be a big one ...... we Yahabeebe are a comin' for ya ! 😄 After next Saturday you'll have to consider a name-change to 'Once were 2nd, now are 5th ! ' 😁 Hope that'll fit on PJ's screen. 3
pete
Well done to the Yabbies. We were never really in the hunt. Looking forward to locking horns with the Powder Puffs next Saturday.
Maximus
'Torrid battle all day' is right on the money, PJ. Max Factor had the nose down when it mattered (something we teach in our fancy make-up school, the Max Factory) and we'll gladly take the 2pts off the gallant Grey Ways. Hard luck, Sir G and team; many teams are gonna get tripped up by your fearsome combo, mark Maksymilian's words! Well done Robert -he grabbed 6 wins on the day including a hugely important R9 Quinella to regain the lead in his match - and Gazzac on their head-to-head wins. Garry will be on cloud 8.5 after seeing his horse Aquaoir run so well in the Trentham Stakes! As for Maxi's flukey BB in the last to pip Dino - well, it helps to put up a respectable captain's knock once in a blue moon. Keeps the critics at bay for a little while (but not long enough). As for captain pete referring to us as 'Powder Puffs' in a recent post, Max will - on this occasion - simply 'turn the other cheek' It's something else we teach at the Max Factory)! Maximus
Once again, at great cost once again, Max has invested considerable Mustelidian brainpower into compiling an Aggregate Table. Why bother? After all, it meaneth nowt.... but in a few weeks time, we shall be able to see who is moving where and how quickly or slowly up/down the Leaderboard. And who would be making money if investing speculating the $264 weekly as real bets. You're welcome. PWJ
Be aware that as Sydney has rain due today and again on Friday and Saturday, I will be posting an alternative Australian meeting in case of abandonment before the Randwick races commence. If Randwick commences and is later abandoned then providing at least one comp race is run, that will count as the Oz leg in the Super Comp for Round 2
