mardigras
Name the two horses. Both horses to have solely raced in Australia. What horse holds the highest stakes won for all horses to have won their first start and never to-date, having won again. What horse holds the highest stakes won for all horses to have won their first start, earning black type and never to-date, having won again. mardigras
No one having a crack. These are not small stake winning horses. Around $1m each. The top one won a race designated for maidens only, is its only win and is still an active horse. The second one may be a little more difficult, but still just under $1m in stakes won. mardigras
Here's another to try. Name the highest stake winning maiden, still active, in Australia. A horse that most recently has been running around in maiden races at the provincials.

The one that won a maiden classification race first start is regarded by many as a quality horse. Placed in what would be considered a top level Group 1 (non age based) last year (this season). And was quite highly fancied leading into some of the biggest races on the calendar. Having placed in 3 Group 1 races (and 2 Group 2 races) The other is a horse that would be hard to find as was more than decade ago. Placed second in two of the biggest 2yo races (not MM). Did next to nothing as a 3yo.
mardigras
15 minutes ago, ngakonui grass said: needle in haystack.. sort of the idea - harder to research through standard means - would likely have to be horses that you knew at the time were only 1 win horses, but not quite winning the big ones they were in. As mentioned, more stake won than the vast majority of top line NZ raced horses.
