Addington
Woodham gets the axe from TAB after all their disasters under Allen and Hughes. Earlier the TAB CFO, Shaun Brooks, departed and ended up at ATC . Now i read this from the Chairmans report "At the HRNZ Board meeting on 26 January we welcomed Shaun Brooks to the HRNZ Board as ATC appointee. " Will John Allen somehow be adopted by harness in some capacity and reunite with his old crew or will common sense prevail? karrotsishere
Agree Addington a pattern is emerging. Going off this history as you have written doesn't look like a good pattern either.

My guess which was a public guess of between $300-310k was the closest to the final top lot of $315, after the initial closing Lot in Auckland was $300k. New selections game for this weekend. Pick the TOP lot sales price of Auckland and the overall TOP Lot. Or pick 1 or the other. Haven't looked thru yearling catalogue to see what value stock is in, BUT thinking won't go higher this year. Will guess Auckland $270k-$280 Overall TOP Lot guess $290k-$300k Other entries welcome.

Come on folks, have a go. DR, Lightning, Blackie, Addy, Trotsfan, Mike, Craigo, Globe * Factors to consider it went up last year, will it go up again, like inflation & house market? * Export Aussie buyers are still there & NZ breed is in demand. * Read a TOP draft by Breckon Farms this year, so some TOP breed horses up for grabs. * J Street (Lincoln Farms) said in a recent article would reduce numbers brought this year due to uncertainty of racing at Alex (draft calendar reduced Fri numbers - overall reduced dates). (on that note has anyone seen the actual draft calendar with other clubs? Last year B Litcher Lincoln Farms journo posted dates but hasn't yet). - Unless its now considered confidential & would be a breach of Code of Conduct? * Uncertainty of North could also result in other Head office based Bigger owners e.g. Stonewall Stud - reluctant to spend Big, they were the biggest spender last year. On top of that as they spent big last year they may not want to spend as much this year. * Could there be a grandfather that wants to buy a horse no care about the price to race with grandchildren as per year prior last? (how did that horse do btw, was a trotter)? $280k ish highest of sales year prior last no? Guessing game selections close tomorrow Fri 5pm. Winner will be crowned Raceplace Yearling Sales Closet Guessing Selector.
