SCA won the Cambridge Classic first up late January at the track where 'the Race' is held. He seems sharp so is my pick for the race anyway. (Bar drawing the car -park barrier) Goes very well that track. Yes, he is in on Friday, and will see how he has come back from his setback, and will be able to gauge then. I thought his win at Cambridge was average at best. His time was slower than most of the other 2200 metres mobiles, and he won by a nose. Obviously, something wasn't right on the night, as he went roughly, and was subsequently scratched from his next start.
Mike
I'd take anyone offering odds of $1.50 that Akuta doesn't start Mikie
Happy Sunrise
Will The Race be determined by the draw at Cambridge? After watching the open class horses at Ashburton just now I feel as though it will be.

If there are only going to be N.Z horses in the field, I reckon there is only four realistic winning chances in the race.

It could be a procession unless a type like Laver starts.
