Lightning Blue
The time honoured Great race is on this week , and the Race Place has ALL the winners lined up for another crack at it. A Great list of winners since 1967 has some amazing New Zealand horse-power taking the honours . Amazingly 4 of the All time Interdominion Greats have FAILED To Qualify. and didn't win the Miracle Mile .(Lazarus, Blacks A Fake ,I'm Themightyquinn, Gammalite and Lightning Blue) THAT's How hard it is to win a Miracle Mile then ? not for the feint-hearted. To qualify for the GRAND FINAL , the 8 Winners of these 8 races will need to be selected by the Race Place Harness racing supporters. Fields of ALL the winners and Random barrier draw to HONOUR this Amazing Line-up of Champions will be here shortly.

Now is that their barrier draw .Eg Race 1 Robin Dundee draws no1 and Bay Foyle Draws barrier 6. Harold Park was a course I spent a long time going to every Frid night, barrier draws are important. Just so we have a fighting chance . Edited February 28, 2022 by Globederby19

Hard to believe Blackie (Blacks A Fake) and Lightning Blue and Lazarus were only placed in the Miracle Mile and not in the Hunt ... Can't hint how well Craig did yet. Will give my result on Friday I think after a few entries . Pete has taken my Winning 8 on a message as referee (so I don't change my mind on selections)

Blackie
This is how the star-studded field for the 55th edition of the race will start: King Of Swing (Rocknroll Hanover) Spirit Of St Louis (Sweet Lou) Majestic Cruiser (Art Major) Bundoran (Lincoln Royal) Mach Dan (Mach Three) Expensive Ego (Rocknroll Heaven) (1st em) Jay OK (A Rocknroll Dance) (2nd em) Like A Wildfire (Big Jim) Bondi Lockdown (Somebeachsomewhere) Better Eclipse (Betterthancheddar) Be hard to be beat the #1 horse from there, although #2 gets the trip behind him, deadset quinella. Globederby19
R1 Mount Eden (freak) R2 Young Quinn (best of all of them put together) R3 Popular Alm (inside draw) R4 Village Kid (to much gate speed for this lot, he is a rocket off the arm) R5 Chokin (another class above his rivals) R6 Christian Cullen (freak again, won his MM jogging) R7 Christen Me (hmmmm)just. R8 Spankem (draw ,Purdon, centrifuge)

(the parked out effort last week in a fast 1.47.9 was quite brilliant) it looks all over rover. Looks set to create his own bit of history as the Only TRIPLE Miracle Mile Winner to date. Long live the King.
craigos1
I like Bondi Lockdown , his run in the Chariots of Fire was huge. If that hasn't flattened him , he's a right royal chance.

Lightning Blue
very surprised the great NZ mare STYLISH MEMPHIS is not having a crack at the $1,000,000 Miracle Mile ?? She's in 100k support race instead. My guess is maybe she is like ex-pat kiwi track specialist at Menangle 'Cash and Flow' that a time of 1.50 is her best mile. Whereas the 'King' and others are likely to be at 1.48 mile rate in the Miracle Mile ? Hopefully the Bad Weather hitting there (Menangle) today/tomorrow left from the massive flooding QLD and northern NSW will clear by the weekend. Here's Albion Park Brisbane last Sunday. !!! Geez she was wet, a run and a swim at the same time. triathlete horses in Qld now lol....

Geez she was wet, a run and a swim at the same time. triathlete horses in Qld now lol.... Hi LB. Here is the reason Stylish Memphis is not in the Miracle Mile. Caretaker trainer-driver Jack Trainor couldn’t believe star Kiwi mare Stylish Memphis was overlooked for a Miracle Mile berth. And it was the same story on the other side of the ditch with her regular trainer Mark Jones. Despite stretching her record this Sydney raid to four wins from as many starts and completing back-to-back Ladyship Mile wins (now called Queen Elizabeth II Mile), the field selectors didn’t seem her worthy of a Miracle Mile start. Surprisingly, when her CV was not as polished, she gained a Miracle Mile spot by winning last year’s Ladyship Mile. “It’s surprising and disappointing,” Trainor said. “I thought she’d done enough. She’s been fantastic this trip, even better than last year I think.” Jones said: “It was pretty tough I thought. We can’t do any more than win. It would’ve been great to have a shot at the Miracle Mile.” But Jones quickly switched the focus to what Stylish Memphis could control and that’s successfully defending her Ladyship title in a fighting fashion. “We’re just lucky to get back and win it again. And lucky to have Jack (Trainor) to look after her and drive her inch perfect, so it’s mission accomplished,” he said. It was closer than many expected, but Stylish Memphis dug deep when it mattered to hold-off the barnstorming finish of Nathan Purdon’s Spellbound to win by a half-neck in a 1min51.9sec mile. 1
