Lightning Blue collects off 2nd & 3rd to take a narrow Round 4 victory by less than $3 over Midnight Caller who came with a huge late run with a BB quinella. Roland with a BB on the runner-up was 3rd followed by Zig and then the McCooks in fine form with Jase's BB quinella almost reeling in his better half. Gee next, was the only other player in profit with Jammo the cat playing the profit line making up 12 places but falling less than $20 short. Some reverses in the HTHs at the death with Pete pouncing on NG. Robert reeled in Rees while significantly comp leader Ian clawed back Rex on the line adding 5 points to his score. Thats the 3rd or 4th time in the last couple of weeks that i have been pipped on the post in the last few strides.

The only time i wish i had been pipped on the post was on my wedding day,but u guessed it nodody fronted.

Ian's last race HTH win proved vital today as without it he would have lost the lead to MC who has closed within 3 points of the lead. Jen has ominously made up 4 places to sit 3rd while Pete made up 5 spots today to share 4th with Jamison who made up 6. Robert also made up 5 places to secure 6th while Graeme gave up two spots.Gordy showed what having a bad day can cost you as he plummeted 9 places. The conundrum that is Taupo confronts us tomorrow. With 3 rounds still to play there are still many competitors who can win the comp outright. Good luck tomorrow
