ngakonui grass
nil all at half time which flattered NZ big time. 2nd half as expected 4-ZIP, good game with nz being shown up as lacking pace out wide. NZ looked good running around in circles until losing the ball, but they couldn't get the ball enough to feed the strikers who looked reasonably lively. Record crowd of over 12k for game. brown fox
Our goalkeeper must attack the ball.Seems to just stand back and then try to block the shot. The ferns were definitely out played but a couple of those goals could have been de-fused.
ngakonui grass
Agree.Couldn't believe it wasn't shown on Freeview.A chance to highlight the womans sport, with the WC coming up.and we blow it and put on 7s that you can see every day in a park near you.

She was seen backpedaling a lot only to be left flat footed and slow to react to some soft shots. Needs to narrow the angle a bit and attack the ball. We also lack speed with some of our defenders who were run rings around at times. Still, good learning curve and one only gets better by playing the best.
ngakonui grass
What a poor effort against Portugal tonite. Portugal 5 NZ 0 150 days to go until WC kicks off is it too late for personel changes because some were out played, out paced and out thought. Globederby19
Some just don't have soccer brains at all, very amateurish. As you said we lack pace as well, but I don't think we have the depth to be competitive. They won't get out of pool play barring a minor miracle. NZ Women's football has a long way to go. Dancing Show
They play more defensive than attacking. No-one expects them to win, they need to understand that and just go all out.. show their natural talent even if means that a few players dominant the game. With that will come confidence as they play better. They have some really skilled players but they can't shine unless they become selfish.

brown fox
Paige Satchell would shine in a better team.Would like to see her in one of the English teams.Hopefully one of them will pick her up.
ngakonui grass
I thought when she came on she did a lot of running for no result.

Feel kinda sorry for Errin Naylor the goalkeeper , with such poor defending in front of her. She is a pretty good keeper, and some of the scores would have been a lot bigger but for some good stops.
