Righty, After a huge search I talked with a family member who sent my message onward to another member of the Hales family and.....Falaise never had Quill, she just bought Chloe😅 Now I have to update all my posts on this subject lol.. I have a new puzzle piece I am chasing to place on the board, I am working on a new trail to find Quill that is not hot but it is warm😉

Update, I got blocked from an A & P page on Facebook lol put my question there then later I couldn't access the page anymore, it disappeared could only find it on Google,when clicked nothing. A lady recommended I put my post there😅 I think I found a family member, from the deans side who was caring for a family tree page...Not sure how to pitch it, his name was on a public page I guess that's ok. This is possibly a good puzzle piece that could be a lead to finding what happened to Quill. Just need the right person.

You really suit your username as that link was real great info. Falaise's maiden name was Dean's and Homebush was even written on the stone. You are a great researcher

Fiddler's Green was the name of her stud, It's now a winery with a dodgy owner

I could try a random shot at a Hales on FB, last time I tried that I got snapped at hahaha They were crept out their father had the same name as the man I wanted to know about and they freaked. Do you know if she still has any family around? If I could, I would ask a relative if she purchased Astra Tune and Quill at the same time and see if that lead to getting a photo. Thank you

Update 2: Falaise never had Quill, She only bought Chloe a family member has confirmed 😅 May the quest to find his info continue Update: A kind person has given my question to a family member and they will be getting back to me shortly with the answer if Quill was purchased the same time as Chloe 🙂 Mrs F J Hales Had Astra Tune as a Race horse and later my Mum bred a horse called Quill from her riding horse who was Astra Tune / Chloe in 1985 He was bred to be her pet and next riding horse not for racing. He appears as unnamed on the studbook. Quill's Sire was Sir Bart. My Mum sadly had to sell Chloe and Quill. They went to Bryan and Janine McVicar. Very briefly though, Bryan told me he doesn't recall even breaking Quill in but he can't recall who bought him. On the studbook I see F J Hales having Chloe again around the 88 mark. I want to track down who bought Quill. He possibly had McVicar brands and I have been sent photos of what that looks like. There is a chance F J Hales bought him too but sadly she has passed away. I wanted to find a photo of Quill to show Mum what he looked like grown up but it's like he vanished I have contacted so many people. Even though Quill has no links to racing other than his parents. Hales used to be in racing way back and I was wondering if anyone knew a family member I could ask questions to? Any info would be awesome

I have been wanting to see Esquire's photo for about 22 years, It hit me really hard the sudden weight of the years that have gone by...I absolutely bawled I tell you haha

Thank you so much, I reached out to a Whanganui page and Esquire's photo's were sent to me by a lady who used to work at Sebas Farm❤️ I never in my dreams thought I would ever see his photo. I am extremely happy

Thank you so much, I have had a huge success I posted on a Whanganui page and all these people came in that worked at Sebas Farm. One lady said she had photos of him but they were in storage then another lady reached out and outright posted photos of Esquire on the thread❤️ I have been searching for his photo for 22 years. I was so overwhelmed crying, I thought I would never see him. They told me what a nice nature he had and how good he was to handle. Today was a good day. still if anyone see's my post here and has stories to tell and photos to share I think I have a bit of an Esquire addiction now and would love to know more😉 thank you for wanting to help🌻
