Great to see Bad Flamingo get the win for him today.

I never clicked it was him 😢, he was a valued member of several punters clubs and agree his wit was amazing. Loved him talking in the 3rd person. Real shame I didn't get to meet him in person.

    So true.

No print media, no true social media promoting the good aspects of racing.

Anything you read in the paper media is negative revolving around drugging, cheating, animal welfare negative, race fixing,  gambling rorts and on it goes with no official racing response. So we are self condemned.

My non gambling mates always trot out INCA, and often say ... jeepers must be real bad as it has taken so long ..

    INCA has caused monstrous damage

    Very true Tom

Can't recall last time I read a positive racing story and that where the problem lies I feel

As a family who has had to fly to Starship several times knowing what 500,000 could of done to help parents and kids feel less stressed while up there I am very annoyed at their stance to not accept.

Ironic is one of Starships major sponsors in Barfoot & Thompson who sponsor the Auckland Cup!!!!!

Max is thrilled for the connections of 10yo gelding SELFIE who won today at Riccarton in R60 grade.

First win in over 5 years  (April 2017) and goodness knows how many starts ...before today he'd earned over $300k in Stakes with over half of it coming from one minor placing - $170,000 for running 2nd (btn 0.5L in the 2015 Karaka Million, behind Hardline, in the days when the orange-and-blue-bloods didn't dominate the race).

Selfie has always been an honest trier who never realised that early potential ...today was start 84 ...and just his 4th win ...with about 30 minor placings and just as many (or more) unplaced efforts in between.

    Congrats to all concerned.

    MM

He kept getting me with his fast last 600s, then the time I drop him he wins 😭

  4. Was looking at going to Hamilton to watch the darts but finances didn't allow but on my bucket list to go. The whole hype as they enter the stadium would be amazing live. Like Michael Smith but seems to choke at critical times.

Today I found myself at home with no gallops to watch.

I was on Trackside 1 flicking every now and again to the Ice Hockey.

Thought the coverage of the two greyhound meetings , which I know nothing about was very informative by the two commentators.

Mark Rosanowski & Andy McCook were very good with there appraisals of all runners.

Well done chaps ,remembering my favourite Greyhound raced at QE II , Shorty Bijou.

Their depth of knowledge of the dogs is amazing

Andy McCook is superb, we need to see more of him .. bloody good tipster too

Becomes Addington permanent caller from around 15th July when T Wilkes earns a well deserved retirement. Andy puts a lot of hard work and research in so much deserved appointment.
