Yes very sad.   I really felt for his team mates too, they had done everything they could to get him to that stage placing and never left his side in each race pulling him through within the time limits.

Now they can ride for themselves but that De La Cruz needs to stop moaning at other riders and concentrate his energy into riding!

Pow Wow continues on his polka dot way!   That's the boost my points needed 🙂    I'm not sure if Magnus is still alive, or whether he's just sitting on an electric bike chugging along somewhere at the back, perhaps stage 10 might spur him into action ..  I'm hoping so, he certainly hasn't been exerting himself overly to date!

He is waiting for the fans on the side of the road to start chanting - Moustache  Moustache Moustache 🥴

Correct NG. Auckland Cup winner at big odds. By Te Rapa Stud's All Alight II

I sold Bill Weal a Great Charmer colt at Waikato Sales for $10k. He had gone through a fence as a young yearling and had terrible scars. A half-brother to Grangewilliam Stakes (2yo Group race at Taranaki) winner Mister Aythorpe he was out of a daughter of the Forli stallion Imperial March and came from the Eulogy family.  He had 7 starts for them and ran 3rd 2nd up at 3 but got progressively slower. Embarrassing....

Maybe a family trait 😉 - Mrs. vS bought a colt out of another daughter of Thanks. Ran a good 4th on debut - then got progressively slower. He was more of a 'clown' - wanted to have fun all the time.

Well done getting the points with Hindley PJ!   Not the chap you wanted but still a beaut stage for you.

How do you know what riders we have Wicked? I thought it was all secret squirrel stuff 🤔

  5. I think the main contenders and their teams let those 2 Yates Bros go as they do not do a lot of work on the front so could be vulnerable tonight. Good start to the tour instead of the normal flat sprinters stages marred by mass crashes.

    Yep you got it

Buggar - am late checking in. Recogfnised MP straight away. His progeny seemed to do best in smaller stables. Left a couple of Group 1 winners.
