TV rights may be OK at present, but TV viewer numbers are well down and that will lead to reduced TV income.

Remember at the last election Goldsmith, The Finance spokesman on two occasions announced policy which did not add up. Thank goodness he never got anywhere near the Finance Minister's role.

When I look back at Acts of Parliament in the last 20 odd years I put Kiwi Saver first by a country mile.

I agree that the payment is pointless. However, look at Rob (the socialist) Muldoon"s  National Super. We have wealthy Baby Boomers getting it and I guess the argument from wealthy baby Boomers is that they paid their taxes.

When my youngest was at university she flatted with two Southland girls and each parents were Dairy Farmers . These girls received a payment from the government of around $200 a week because their parents earned under a certain thresh hold.

That is because the farmers had their  very large farms in Trusts and as trustees distribute themselves the minimum to ensure that the receive Working for family, University support payments etc.

I would have thought that Bob Jones might have crawled under a rock after he was made to look very foolish and withdraw from his unsuccessful attempt to sue the young lady who called him a racist.

Chris Bishop is currently a list MP but was the MP for my electorate, Hutt South between 2017 and 2020. Prior to that he stood for Hutt South in 2014 and lost to Trevor Mallard.

For a Tory he is a reasonable  and likeable guy. He is liberal having no issues with gays, abortion and does not play the Maori race card. He is an ideas man  who cares for his electorate.

The Hutt South electorate takes in affluent Woburn, Hutt Central and the posers of Eastbourne with the working class Wainui and Naenae. 

After the 2014 election he set up an office in Wainui and as a result did a lot better than expected there at the 2017 election.

I can  see him having a picnic and enjoying a few wines at Tauherenikau under one their many Totara trees.

It appears that if you can coach The NZ Netball team to win the Netball World Cup you can become a Dame.

Netball in World terms  a very, very minor sport. To win it NZ only really have to beat England and The Aussies and "Hey Presto"  the coach becomes a Dame.

Wow what an amazing comeback, down 2 nil at half time then scoring 3 in the second. We had some luck with the sending off but given Wolves good defence this season, they should have still comfortably held on.

I have a wee soft spot for Wolves because one of their biggest fans is Robert Plant. He received an honour from Wolves a few years ago for his support.

I have been a Leeds fan since I was a young boy and they have taken me to hell and back many times. However, for me  to walk through those iron gates at Elland Road  and join 35k other fans is the most amazing experience.
