I remember Starship was the hot pot early on until the day Tuapeka Knight blew him off the park.
Starship was an absolute marvel.
Despite being bridesmaid in 8 quinellas, all to Tuapeka Knight, He still managed to win 5 races as a 2yo.
Won 4 as a 3yo including 2 on grass over 3200m
2nd in NZ Cup as a 6yo
3rd in Westport Cup (off 90m) as a 7yo and a matter of days later 2nd in the Auckland Cup

One goes to a Harness track to enjoy the racing ,not as a piss fest,
Sadly that is very old school and not the way clubs market big days these days. Racing and betting in the background.

Trainer of La Rosa not chuffed with the CEO either
Race 3: #2 La Rosa - Sam Ottley"Booked to fly to Sydney next month due to the treatment of higher assessed mares. The CEO of HRNZ sent his mare to Australia to race so it shows he isn't going to change anything. Actually hasn't done a lot since he took over to be fair, just taken a large paycheck home and told people what they want to hear. This mare will improve off the run, but she's a chance."- 1

Lucky to be in NZ.
Lightning Blue in the Lucky Country
Bi Code Harness and Dishlicker meetings have a degree of Oil and Water about them. Palmerston North a previous example.
Surely this doesn't happen at Addington.

Thought you may of been after a Hutt Park winner. (like Village Kid did) Jack Morris winning 3 at Auckland before being exported.
I had a real Thrill seeing him go round here in Brisbane in 1993 . Jack Morris winning the heats and Interdominion Final with authority leaving the Nz champs of Blossom Lady and Christopher Vance , as well as the mighty Westburn Grant struggling in his wake ........>> Jack Morris (one of the very best for sure)

The fuss becomes why dq someone for 8 and then let them partially back in as the HRNZ mob tried to recently. Makes a mockery of initial RIB decision by those that sought to interfere with that decision.
8 years well worth mocking.
