How strange looking this up just now & its vanished from the RIB site under news. Weird. Wonder who made them take article down ...?

Who is R. G Burrows says he is disqualified on HRNZ site, but never trained a horse. Is this a relation to P Burrows?

    Full brother I think.

Yesterday on trackside Matt Cross said he had been informed the track was good to go. Then, this morning there is a 6m pool of water on the home straight but it takes till after 10 to tell everybody. If it rained that much overnight surely someone would have been concerned enough to go and have a look early enough. At least then, they could have informed participants much earlier.

    On the money Happy

The comment by Matt Cross made little sense at the time. Was someone taking the piss giving him that information.

Claims it was mowed yesterday LOL

If a punter decides to back Rakero Rebel tomorrow at Timaru against Obsession and Anna Love etc at 3FF good luck to you.

Stop and contemplate on the reasons why it was a massive effort at Ashburton.

Don't ask anyone in charge of harness racing as they are so thick they couldn't work it out.

I thought its more him a case of him giving it to them up the a.. Big online platform reach he has & its International. Now bend over.

Will this result in Coulam and Associates reversing the decision ?

    Hey Parsnip,

I really dont know what is going on with this. Just took a look online today & saw multiple articles written by 3 different journos eg x3 about how prohibited substance used. But I then went & edited my post when went & checked the RIB report today. So I really dont know what the situation is.

Im more concerned about an alleged predator in the mist. Like a wacko jacko.

    Nite nite all.

Article said a stable was raided a week ish ago. Nothing illegal found. Then females were lined up & questioned re sexual questions randomly not from any complaint. Why do that?

Disgraceful but not surprising given its the RIB.

The HRNZ board has unanimously voted that the New Zealand Trotting Cup, Auckland Trotting Cup, Dominion Trot, Rowe Cup and Invercargill Cup will no longer be free-for-alls.

    The Invercargill Cup?

Has it been boosted up a lot in stakes etc or were they drunk when they did this?

    its pretty hard case

Changing subject what are your thoughts on NZ Cup possibly changing to put previous winners back on 10m etc?

I would like to have a dollar each way

Some of the races I looked most forward to were handicaps. Classic example was New Brighton TC's DB Superstars for 4yo's run in September. Heats one week, Final the following.

Dillon Dean, Inky Lord, Laser Lad, Mels Boy, Mighty Me all Derby winners (NZ or GN) the previous season found the 20m handicap too much.

Made for great racing. $70 winners, $800 Quinellas.

But I think the absolute feature races in both islands should not have horses racing off handicaps.

Yes saw that, just thought maybe possible due to low North numbers, they could of since changed rule to only have a 5 day stand down for all time for Northern horses.

For those curious as its all very transparent & public made info. So no-one is trying to hide anything.

    Go to

Fri 15 July Alex P results look under scratchings - 5 days penalty.

Then go to Sat 16 July Camb workout results.

Then go to Thurs 21 July Camb results, look under scratchings - 5 days penalty.

Then go to Alex P fields Fri 29th July.

Then you can spot the horsey Im talking about 😂

Cambridge have a 2 win bonus incentive. So does that mean their season ends 31st July 2022? And a new count to begin 1 Aug 2022? Meanwhile HRNZ have their count going from 1 Jan 2022 - 31 Dec 2022.

Talk about make it blimmin confusing to figure out.

    From Mike Tod, CEO TAB

August 1 marks the dawning of a new season for all three racing codes in New Zealand and it also signals the start of TAB NZ's new financial year. We're incredibly proud of what the business has delivered to racing, sport and communities in New Zealand in the past 12 months. We are on track to distribute more than $200 million for the first time in our history. This would not have been possible without your support of TAB NZ. And it's important to note that several million dollars of this also goes to gambling harm minimisation.
