who's manipulating figures?  this thread is almost starting to read like some sort of conspiracy or fraud is taking place

he buys horses, he syndicates them, people choose to join, they know what it costs, they pay their bills, if they want out they can, ....

like I said, the only people he needs to answer to are the owners

That's your interpretation of what's being said. But if you can come to that conclusion from the data I have provided you might be onto something.

the owners keep supporting him so he is doing something right - they're the only ones he has to answer to

if the results are as bad as you're making out, then they'd be letting their feet do the talking

I am not making anything out data does not lie and there top end data is not what I would call outstanding, and when you buy in the volume they do it's easy to manipulate the over all figures.

nothing...but would be an interesting analysis of their overall involvement. Since you have their top end stats mebbe you have their bottom ;end stats as well and the overall median purchase price/median stk earnings would be a good way to see the overall picture

No I don't have Over all stats

So ...whats the median purchase price and median $$ earned on the track?

What's that got to do with there strike rate with there high purchases not measuring up to there price......

You are only looking at the top end stuff though.  You would need to look and analyse the data for all purchases over set period of time to get a more accurate indication of their performance

It will be very similar results due to the top heavy purchases not delivering the results like they predicted at the time of purchase.

    Race 6 - Rosehill R7

    1st - 13 Mission Phoenix W-$6.10

    2nd - 5 Aleas Q-$13.60

    Scr: 2,4,8

Lightning Blue (with a BB) and PJ snag the quinella in the last while the Newnham winner also tipped by Allovertheform, Robert, Jack and Rex - all with best bets as well as Gary. Jamison - the super sub for the Draft comp - prevails in the hitout with PJ squeezing into 2nd late on. Guess who gets chicken for dinner tonight ? Maria 3rd with LB lobbing home into 4th and this pair sure to be popular in the draft. Captain Smiler, Gary, newbie Allovertheform, Hesi, Tom and Gordy all in profit. Some were clearly lying low today hoping to take the pressure off in their draft selection 😅

    521.60 Jamison

    396.80 PJ

    373.60 Maria

    288.40 Lightning Blue

    225.80 Smiler

    222 Gary

    209.80 Allovertheform

    188 Hesi

    186.80 Tom

    186.80 Gordy

    161 Rex

    161 Robert

    122 Jack

    99.60 Richie

    87.80 Sharne

    39 Steve P

    38 Ian

    38 Max

    38 Craig

    38 Secret Squirrel

    0 Moose

    0 Rees

Thanks for running today's competition so the newbies could expose some form leading into the draft, would be abit stiff going into a draft with out any exposure evan if it's just a sample size.

Bring on Monday night I hope I am in the first 2 rounds of the draft lol.

Going off the top stuff as that's what the pride themselfs on being big buyers at the sales. . . . . .

Here are some very interesting stats on the top lots $400,000 and above brought by te akau since 2017 all brought at karaka.

    It does not paint a very good picture. . . . . . .

    20230107_121544.jpg

Going off my statistics above, It cost $593,636.36 per Win not including training fees etc, with return Winning stakes of $733,000 won for an invested sales total of $13,060,000 so for every dollar invested via Te Akau Racing you got a total of 0.05  so a 95% Loss on initial investment and in my personal opinion at this level your not buying a race horse your making an investment, yet people go on how good they are well this info paints another story.

and dont forget to add the $108 + 15% GST per horse for training fees. . . . . .

Noverre retired to Waikato Stud March last year $10,000 fee

But other than that not a very good strike rate later on I will give you some real interesting states based on the above.......

  11. It's crazy how the tab go on and on about wanting to stop people betting over seas but don't want to provide up-todate information to give the punter a reason to have a bet, in my personal opinion all the information should be readily available to the punter to help guide the punter into having a wager and maximizing return to the punter.

you actually want punters Winning so they do turn more over the quicker a punter loses his money the less money the tab is making.

  12. I see Zac has called out James around being based in Australia v Hong Kong.

Yes Zac we all no it's good money but there is only a number of world class race meets the rest are just propping up those days unlike Australia (Sydney/Melbourne) and to some point brisbane/gold coast were there is world class race meets 95% of the time and more opportunities to make a living.

I think Zac needs a new challenge himself instead of calling out other jockeys he should be more worried about his own goals he sets himself, what he rode 7 winners on a Average race meet big deal yes I enjoy the Hong Kong races but I rate the horses/races in Australia alot higher.

Anyway that's my 5 cents worth on this look forward to what others have to say on this matter.
