Article Author Clinton Payne10:59AM29 August 2019 16 Comments The Kwok family, owners of Hong Kong champion Beauty Generation have gifted $AUD 1 million to injured jockey Tye Angland. The family presented the cheque to Angland’s friend and champion Hong Kong jockey Zac Purton on Wednesday evening. Angland suffered career ending spinal injuries in a Hong Kong fall late last year which left him a quadriplegic. “The money is going into a trust for the kids,” Angland said. “It will be divided between the three children in a trust account for schooling and university. “It’s very overwhelming. Incredible. “It’s pretty special. Very, very generous and it just goes to show what the racing family is all about. There are no words.” Angland and his wife Erin have three children Alexis, Addison and Rylan. Angland rode for the Kwok family in both Australia and Hong Kong and finished second aboard Sasa in the Group I Champagne (JJ Atkins) Stakes in Brisbane back in 2010.
