Not much happening overall there. As for mk2, there really isn't much need for comment I expect.

It's all good mate. Just got a bit bored and had some cheap fun.

I probably should know better at my age. 🤣

  2. Humour me on this people.

The Spring Comp on BOAY is being run by the serial abuse merchant Mk2 Zephyr who attracted a stunning 7 entries to his comp.

A bloke called Boxie entered and then queried why his score was not recorded in the rather paltry result list.

Boxie asked why he wasn't in the results and was given a serve of epic proportions by the organizer.

    Here's the delicious irony.

    Boxie is........

    Chief Stipe's alter ego.

A very interesting day in the Comp yesterday …..an anticipated day for favourites seeing a canny and ultimately fruitful Joker play by John and the Five-Os against the Longshot Legends 'The Wild Bunch'. That's exactly what we would have done had it been our day against 'The Wild Bunch'. Life's all a matter of timing ...sometimes you get it right, and sometimes ……. 😁.

In another match,  La Bog poured water over the Dynamite's powder keg and a new Comp leader was born, the 'Red Hots'. But back to La Bog, well done, Captain Rees, after taking the previous match a little lightly and resting Richie last Sunday, Rees was all concentration and focus this week, Richie back in the starting roster, and hey presto, a great result. Personally I would have played Richie last Sunday, Rees, but what do I know, my team is coming 6th and your team is right up there, coming,...well ….. er …...5th ! (thought you were higher than that …. you're certainly trending upwards, Long may you continue to do so.)

The "Red Hots' continue to go from strength to strength under Pete's astute guidance, opening on the Tote at $1.30 when the Comp got underway many moons back,  and fully justifying the short odds ever since. Next week we 'Once Were Far Too Fast' will be feeling like Canada walking out onto the stadium against the All Blacks when we come up against the 'Red Hots' second time around. The only 'UTR' who will be feeling nervous going into our match-up next Saturday will be Captain Pete up against '9-in-one-blow' Robert -yesterday's comp supremo #1 and an absolute legend for the 'Far Too Fast' all campaign, far and away our most successful player this time around. I remind anyone interested that Robert was the last player in to the 'Far Too Fast' lineup, being picked up well in to the draft at  somewhere around 25 of 32 from memory - and he's been absolutely sensational. One thing for sure, he won't be 25 next time ! Sleep well this week, Pete. 😁

Hearty congratulations to Maxi and his 'Animal Kingdom' yesterday, in front most of the day and wrapping up the deal in Comp R9 with 'Kings Will Dream' . Maxi had warned me at the start of the day that he had avoided the favourites because he had a longshot (or two) that would see victory snatched from defeat somewhere along the way, and sure enough ! 😊…...he left it late …...but R9 …… it came ! Life is all about timing …. I backed 'Kings Will Dream' at its previous start, enjoyed a dream trip in transit, the gaps came 300m from home ….. and it promptly fell in a heap ! figuratively speaking. 😔. Just goes to show, you've gotta follow your money. Anyways, great stuff gthe very astute Maxi and the 'Animal Kingdom', for whom Moose I note is also doing very well this campaign. Best of luck as  your team progresses towards the Play-offs. You're doing well.

Still with me, Rees ? 😅 This one's a little longer than usual. You better grab a coffee and put your feet up. La Bog can do without you for a few minutes, surely.

My friends and colleagues Robert, Geoff, Stevie P, and Jack - the optimist in me says we can still wreak some havoc in the rounds that remain to us. We're holding out for that. Realistically though - our chances of making the layoffs have been … and gone. 😮. Playing now for pride and we have plenty of that so looking forward very much to the remaining rounds. Wouldn't it be a great coup if we could knock off the 'Red Hots' this coming Saturday ! Where Robert leads us this Saturday we will follow closely behind. Surely.

Bring it on, baby, we've still got some rock'n'rollin'  to do yet ! 😁

    PJ ….. 9 from 9 in this comp ………..team stalwart …... legend !

Jack …..you know what you gotta do !   😉 You're the only one standing between PJ and a perfect '10'. Let's show PJ and the 'UTR' we can be Far Too Fast again.

Thanks again for your accurate scoring and timely, lively updates again yesterday, PJ. Much appreciated by us all.

Next week, people. See you then. Enjoy your week.

Nice summary Howie. I'm thinking of playing the HTD or whatever it is called. I've been burned by Robert too many times and think I'll put up one of our star strikers to do the job.

  5. In case anyone gets concerned about Hesi and I spending truckloads of money and needing charity to stay afloat, rest assured that it costs about $35 each a month to run this site.

Rest assured we are happy to do so and will never get out the begging bowl asking anyone for a contribution.

Just wanted to set the record straight about the costs involved.

  8. I think Hesi meant we as in him and me Weasel. I'm sure he wouldn't be trying to speak for everyone on here.

I wouldn't call him spiteful as such. He especially has had to endure some pretty vicious attacks by the owner of BOAY including stuff you don't know about.

For my part, I'm happy to peacefully co exist but Doug keeps playing the victim card.

You're very correct that everyone on here is perfectly entitled to their views on the whole subject and also perfectly entitled to post wherever they choose.

We (Hesi and I) never take your support for granted and value it.

    Pete

  9. Slightly off topic but that quote about Ming Dynasty being everyone's favourite grey is disputable (Gunsynd anyone?)

What's indisputable is our love for grey horses. I was wondering why everyone thinks that is. Is it merely a point of difference that attracts us to them?

Fartoofast shout for Anaheed, Subpoenaed and Probabeel (if it pays $13.80 plus or Funstar completes the quinella)

UTR can't increase their lead but Libertini and Funstar will help a bit.

Possibly no commentary after the next. Apologies

Just as well the rest of the team are firing cos the captain's still searching for his first collect 😥
