What about those Peter Louie horses, I think that is how you spelt his surname, they would have awful form, and then bang, they would perform out of their skin. He was obviously a very skilled, and cunning trainer.

I think Greek Magic, and Brutus, that Ray Harris had were, but stand corrected.
Even though I lived in the South Island, Alwick was generally in the second leg of the double in the central districts, and i am fairly sure was a front running horse, liked wet tracks, gave his best, and most of the time was rundown.
I am going to start a thread of front running horses, as back in the "old days" 60's,70's, and 80's there was genuine front running horses.
