You played great today, LB, in our personal match-up - very well done on that - and for your always interesting and entertaining posts. Not sure about being favourites to go all the way . . . Kaos won heaps more matches than us and relaxed today with their Finals berth already having been secured before today's round. I make them strong favourites. Kaos would sorta be like Riff Rocket compared to us as Tom Kitten . . . a bridge apart in terms of class. . . he says . . . striving vigorously to attain clear underdog status for Styx before Finals battles commence. 🙂

Thanks for the game today, Maxi, LB and your Factory team-mates. We managed to level the scores for the season 1-1, mostly due to excellent performances today from Our Maizcay and Robert. Our Maizcay a star for us throughout the comp. Certainly your Factory gave us a few scares, Maxi - Nugget and Glad You Think So in particular. Much too good for me today, LB - I was good through Trentham ... but Randwick brought me undone as I always thought it might. You finished like an express train, LB . . . very well done.

We Styx have sat $63 short of the Team Profit since Comp R7. Now it's Comp R10 coming up, and we're still $63 short of the Team Profit ! Hoping we'll get there in the last . . . surely . . . players of our calibre. Otherwise the game's not fair. 🙂

Big day for team Styx, looking to cement a berth in the Finals after having been in or near the lead throughout the comp. The wet weather that has descended upon Randwick brings Maxi's Factory lineup right into the frame tomorrow, with at least one prominent Sydney jockey declaring that the races there will amount to nothing much more than a lottery. And when it's a lottery the risk is that the infamous word 'yeehah' will be not far behind. 😊 Good luck to my rival tomorrow, Lightning Blue, and to the rest of Maxi's mob. You've beaten us Styx once this campaign, and so I'm sure you will be going into this weekend's battle with a good degree of confidence. Well done Hesi on your Man of the Match performance today for the Reapers - a fine Captain's innings that saw your Reapers through to a good win. And well done Secret Squirrel . . . too strong for the Teflon Kid in a close battle that swung this way and that. 2 points saw the Reapers inch closer to a Finals spot - it's gonna be all on next week as teams yet to confirm their finals berth (including us team Styx) come out with all guns blazing in the "dance of the desperates". It's gonna be a grand finale to the round robins. On the face of it we Styx have inside running with a Triple . . . er . . . Double Joker play against the comp minnows the Factory. But anything can happen on any given day, and the Factory's finest hour coming next Saturday is not completely out of the question. If a couple of them can latch on to the same successful "roughie" then the Factory will suddenly be right in it. Yeehah ! 😆 Well done also today Maria and the Showtime.
