Extremely sad news. My thoughts are with Pam's family and close friends. A canny clever Kauri Kat who enjoyed PJ Comp's immensely, Pam will be sorely missed. Rest In Peace, Pam.

The majority of the races on Easter Saturday are only 40k each. It might be a Te Aroha day but it is at Ellerslie and it is Easter Saturday.
Poor programming by “the powers that be” in my opinion.be grateful BR, three years ago they'd have been $15k

Last few overs and the Poms hitting boundary after boundary the Ferns are all up close saving the singles.Somebody needs to tell them the obvious😏
saw that, Foxy One...I thought White Ferns were completely outplayed in all departments. Perfect example the Melie Kerr dismissal, great one-handed catch by Dunkley; if that had been us, it would've been shelled. Maia Bouchier is an exciting player to watch, doesn't play a heap of fancy shots until its sensible to do so, and plays for the team first, not herself. Ferns do not appear to have a lot of 'strength in depth - after Bates, Devine and Kerr the rest are not exactly awe-inspiring...opportunity for some new blood to stake a claim! Can we find a female version of Glenn Phillips or Rachiiiiinn in a hurry? LOL.

I was posting that with a smile Howie, and I understand what you were saying ... but now it's got out of hand a bit and if the TJ is going to each comp, cause issues, as it has for the past couple, then perhaps it's better that it is not in play at all. I like you, play it for fun, but not if it starts causing everyone to get upset and challenge everything.
For this comp, you are home and hosed Howie 🙂 unlike us 🙂 perhaps relying now on the TJ 🙂 Let's see what we can put in place with PJ's agreement for the next comp 🙂
perfectly said, DS

Max tends to agree with the idea of dumping the TJ completely ..unless a team can lose big as much as it can win big when playing it ...
lose now with the TJ it only costs 1 point but you can gain 15 by winning with it.
Alas I fear I have said this befaw ...

Styx were looking to play the Triple Joker from the very first match of the second round . . . were not able to play the Triple Joker then . . . have not been able to play the Triple Joker since . . . and will not be able to play the Triple Joker in our two remaining matches in this second round.
Styx never have problems playing the Triple Joker early in a round . . . indeed, we played it only two weeks in to the first Round. The good news was . . . it earned us 15 points ! The bad news was . . . those 15 points, together with the vagaries of the draw, cost us the opportunity of another crack at playing the Triple Joker. Many other teams got that second crack, which on the face of it appears somewhat incongruous. We have been a victim of our success, particularly the early success . . . and I have made a note to myself to be very slow out of the gates next time I am leading a team in a Draft or Inter-Provincial comp. No 15 points in week 2. 😊
Triple Joker issues aside, a wonderful, wonderful fun comp run by an absolute comp genius. Thank you for all your time and skill, PJ.oh, just be glad of the 15 pts Howie and take a chill pill, bro ... LOL

with many years of experience in matters wine, that is a Vineyard with RSA bush Pinot
could be wrong but after 2 bottles of Oyster Bar Sav Blanc seeing triple
Pretty sure it is in RSA
well, if you can't spell the word Bay properly after a mere two bottles, Max would query whether two is the right number.
Enjoy the Australian Cup, young man1 Wish I was there with you!

Belated thanks for the match, me Old Mates ..tight contest, as expected, but another team that fancied their 'Joker' chances against the Comp easybeats came unstuck.
Well, we have a spoilers role to play in the next week or two.Well done, Factory Workers!

He certainly had a distinctive voice, LB, though I wouldn't rate it as one of the greatest songs ever made. If poor Hans hasnt found his stash yet, he may be running out of time. Turns 80 in December.
This is the other song Max recalls from his mis-spent yoof.

After some consideration I've reopened this. I'm sure it will get some further interest after tomorrow's racing.
However to ALL participants can we please keep it respectful and reasonably light hearted. Just because someone doesn't agree with you it doesn't make them an intellectually challenged imbecile.
..in some cases it makes them Einstein.

You're certain she didn't get beaten because EIPH are you?
well, i note that Mr Ellis isn't using EIPH as an excuse/explanation for the fact that she was beaten by a quicker horse on the day. A horse carrying nearly a stone less than her.
This weekend at The Valley will be an interesting comparison, won't it? I expect her to win very comfortably.
