Howard Atkinson
Thank goodness when Canberra Raiders were trailing NZ Warriors 16-20 with seconds to go last evening, the Raiders' kingpin Jack Wighton didn't have the presence of mind to run around closer to the posts when scoring. He had bolted clear and could have made the conversion attempt much easier than from out close to the touchline. Thank you, Jack ! Much appreciated. 🙂 NZ Warriors 21 Canberra Raiders 20 Another 2 points in the bank.

To my mind he could have veered right as he got to the line and headed off in the direction of the posts. To my mind he had no appreciation of the need to, and therefore made no attempt to. I personally think there was a bit much cover there for him to risk bombing the try to get closer to the posts but each to there own Howard. Was a great finish to the match.
