Mike
After a careful analysis of the costs of promoting the party atmosphere on Cuo Day, the Security, the Host Responsibility costs, and the Income received from On-course Turnover serious consideration is being given to restricting all future Cup Days to 10,000 people, regardless of Covid

Racing is boring when it is on repeat, eg Addington Friday and Sunday. No one wants to attend anything if there is no atmosphere. When the powers that be went through their stupid reviews and said these courses are closing and no TAB operators on course you are taking away what racing is meant to be - an event. Why do people go to Kaikoura? Food and views. Why do people go to Banks P / Coast over Xmas? Social occasion. Jewels? A big money occasion and place to be that weekend. I hope the bosses remember this.

Surely they are not being so bloody stupid, but then again why not
