  1. How about his mate the Handicapper hes opposite of all mouth, more like no mouth, hangs up on people.
  2. Bad leadership will sink the Titanic. Look at Alex Park.
  3. Again Im so not up with the play. Is the CEO still vouching for disqualified persons? For example the 1 that just got done for cheating & disqualified again, on top of already disqualifed status M Anderson? You know how he wanted him to get back in industry again. Plus is he still talking to young juniors inappropriately? You know saying things like, "nice to see you with you pants on". Which end up being national mainstream news. Oh but he says "nothing to see here, non story". Gross get real.
  4. Out of curiosity what Group racing is there for 4yos nowadays? Please do share my fellow Raceplace Folk? Im not quite up with everything. Altho I do recall the CEO & his current status leadership quo removing x2, Group 1 for races for 4yos, The Messenger & the Taylor Mile. Of course straight upon this change to FFA status his horse won Taylor Mile. That same horse who I see has now recently retired lol hahaha. Now wait for it, the 3yos get exported at the rate of knots & HRNZ leadership ask why lol hahha & the other exported oh doh. Go the North. King of the North D Branch.
  5. My understanding is its not from a want of seperating as such, more a case of not happy with current Leadership. This would be a step to gaining control of their destiny, since it is beyond being at cross roads. More like breaking point for the North. Action must be taken. True. Then the North would have a chance of survival. Leave it & potentially it would sink til it gets to worse case scenerio like Tassie racing, under their hopeless leaders. Hear you. However States have their own leaders. But ultimately guess would come under the main leadershiper. Agree I give ATC 2, 3 years max. So it would be Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Manawatu & grass track clubs in North. Hey could potentially throw in Southern clubs that are unhappy with status quo to potentially come under same "North administration umbrella". My understanding is yes that was what Cambridge wanted & want. However when things get so bad & discontent grows among the people, they as a majority push for change. I believe the North have numbers to push for that change. Then once that change occurs they can work together. Having slept on it & thinking about it, Im not so sure. They turn this down, it becomes public & then what happens? Power in numbers. I believe the North have the numbers of people that want change. Also it depends how it is presented. Power in words.
  6. On top of as a separate thing, Mr R Famuralo owner Monkey King also wanting & pushing for change writing to clubs. Wants heads to roll. Not happy with HRNZ board.
  7. Rumours are swirling, North Island is not happy with HRNZ Leadership & on top of a vote of No Confidence, they are also seeking their own North Island adminstration. Thoughts Raceplace Folks? Will they be better off or no? Who would lead their own administration? Would HRNZ or the board approve such a move? Would that mean they could distance themselves from dodgy & bad mainstream headlines that is majority coming from South? Double R, are you able to confirm these rumours?
  8. Tassie Racing Minister what a joke she is. That leader of opposition seemed onto it. Quite attractive too. Maybe needs to be next leader of Aussie hehe. Ha seriously anyone heard anything else re NZ Leadership? Heard that high profile owner Monkey Kings owner has written a letter to clubs re not happy with leaders & board & is pushing for change. Now is the time people to get in behind him, if you too want change. Also heard Those North Island Forums over whelming voted for a vote of no confidence in HRNZ leadership. And want change. Whats happening with that? Any word?
  9. Agree with Barry. Id be infruriated if was an owner. Dont care who you are. Pay my money, horse performed, now where is my money. Ill take a year minimum of no fees for compensation.
  10. That Racing Minister. How hopeless she is. Listening to her bubble on. She needs to go. Wouldnt answer question & kept repeating herself over & over. Whom initially announced an enquiry but for Racing Integrity to do it (who are part of the problem). It was only when the States Premier stepped in & said no, needs to be independant. Nothing will happen re Tassie UNLESS ABC TV & opposition keep hammering them to force change. Reason - this lead for Tas govt independant investigation was called in for something similar a couple years ago & turned up empty handed. (In saying that it is hard to prove). The lead appointed on commitee who is investigating the Racing Integrity (has conflicts of interest), will NOT take PUBLIC submissions. Instead taking them from the hopeless (nothing to see here & who is accused of handing over whistle blowers x2 times) Racing Minister, the Racing Integrity Head themselves & so on. What a joke. On top of that Racing Director for Tassie has announced some rule to all Aussie Harness Participates, No talking badly about us on social media & so on. No wonder that trainer was afraid to speak. Overall leadership is a problem. But they dont stand down. Unless they are forced down. Same as NZ. Any news on whats happening? Heard people are unhappy with Board, CEO, Handicapper & Chairman. (Thats alot lol). Heard the Norths forums number 1 priority to fix was leadership. Not going to end well when they have to present these findings to none other than the above. Same thing wont go anywhere. Sad but true.
  11. Results check time as Happy brought to my attention Tennesse Honey racing today. And horse wins. Now final horse to watch out for is Rustenburg as per the quote back in Dec 2022 of 3 horses to watch. Imagine if C Ferguson or T Dewe or J Trainor or J Grimson had Spitty (Aveross Spitfire). What do you reckon the result would be?
  12. As Tassie saga continues, Mr A Bullock Greyhound trainer has admitted he placed bet on horse in race in question. He owns the horse & has a close relationship with B Yole. He said that pic of horse hanging up from tree was taken at his property, but in 2013 & he no longer kills horses for dog meat on his property. He denies that he had any knowledge of anything regarding the race. Of interest A Bullock who is or was Tassies leading dog trainer, doesnt hold a kennel licence & has been operating for a decade without one. Mr Bullock is currently in the process of applying for a kennel licence, after it was revealed he had been operating without one for a decade. A kennel licence is required under Tasmanian law for any person who owns three or more dogs. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-03-29/greyhound-trainer-anthony-bullock-placed-bet-at-centre-of-probe/102158542
  13. Heres an interesting watch for those who are following; Lightenig, Josias. Questions were put to Racing Minister. The person who will Head Independent investigation is named. A picture is shown horse hanging from a tree upside down. Alleged person is named that made bet on a race. Issues from last year were raised. Tas parliament sitting yesterday. Watch from 6 mins 45 secs until 23 mins. Then fast forward. Watch from 51 mins to 57 mins. https://www.parliament.tas.gov.au/TBS/HArchive/29032023.html
  14. Oh my I wondered how the whistle blowers name was leaked. Wow. Shocking allegation. https://www.standard.net.au/story/8140009/horses-being-dragged-to-their-deaths-racing-affair-deepens/
  15. Yes it is all sad. But it may save it tho Lightning. Good news Tasman trainer G Kelly, who was very upset other day radio interview. Was invited to parliament & interviewed again. Here is the latest TV news which covered what was spoken about at State Parliament, which included Death Threats (a Tasman Harness participate female had to be walked off by security). Sounded like she was a whistle blower. More race fixing allegations & the starter at Tasman racing is a truck driver for Yole & more about animal welfare. The integrity unit is under fire now. And calls for them to go. (Mr G Kelly said he already had a run in with State Tasman Integrity unit as he refused to use the whip. He said they nearly broke him. Man they sound like a piece of work.
  16. Here is this latest news TV report looks like it aired possibly yesterday if not day prior, the racing minister says there will be a review into animal welfare & FOR SURE animal welfare changes will be made. The reporter states amid mounting pressure - oh my on another note I see ex Kiwis - Check In, Smooth Deal, Aha Reaction & others are now trained by B Yole. This is of concern. Poor horses! Seems Josia if more on animal welfare is covered by TV ABC 4 Corners, it will be advertised on their twitter page either today or tomorrow for next weeks episode.
  17. Here you go Lightening, you are not the only one who has written into Tasman Harness Racing about concerns to management, stewards & racing Integrity unit. This is heartbreaking! Its a 10 min radio interview with a Tasman trainer G Kelly link below hit play. The end last 2 mins of the interview is upsetting. He is very upset, emotional & very concerned about speaking out. Its heartbreaking & horrible that he & others feel this way. What sort of democracy is it. Hopefully others rally around & support, stand up to this. Good on him for speaking out! Says he wont be turning up this weekend to races & doesnt know when he will be back due to speaking out & is worried he will have his licence taken away. Many txt & calls the radio DJ (interviewer) received during the interview saying this happened to them xyz but speaking on condition of annoymously. They too scared to speak in public. https://www.abc.net.au/hobart/programs/mornings/harness-trainer-calls-for-closure-of-office-of-racing-integrity/102153136
  18. Yes. How some people can defend, let alone pubically defend this sort of thing. I mean the neighbour said she literally saw horses walking around eating their own poop because there was nothing else to eat in the multimedia article. Found a video on it, but its just 5 min segment. It didnt cover everything in the mulit-media article which covers a variety of topics of concern. If there is more to come as Profit is suggesting it wont be good, as that 4 corners show is 40 min long & on 1 subject only. Which would take a lot of footage/filming, interviews, investigation to cover that timeframe.
  19. Maybe have my dates wrong, but checked in now to see if it was advertised. Found these 2 articles instead. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-03-26/ben-yole-harness-racing-dominance-in-tasmania/102122922 - Looks like this aired last nite. Terrible. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-03-27/calls-for-urgent-investigation-into-ben-yole-stable-allegations/102148132 - The swift response. Tas Premier has called an independent investigation after ABC report allegations of xyz.
  20. Cormac Leo as per results wins on debut. Looks like blitz opposition too. All but runner up. Be interesting to see how Cormac Leo goes now he is a R50 & as per another thread that is hard on young inexperienced horses that win too quick. But this one will probably win again. Because winning is so easy to do for C Ferguson.
  21. Results time folks, lets see how these poor 3 horses who are handicapped against them got on. Commander Lincoln - LAST by many many lenghts Dare Devil - LAST Mr President - Also Ran - race replay shows poor horse was LAST turning for home. This is outrageous. But proves what I am saying. Am I the only 1 along with Trotsfan & Happy that finds this unfair? What does the handicapper do all day? - what is his job description? Then people cry out, we are losing all the horses, well hello of course. Get a nice offer, take a look at your options & if your horse fits in this category what starts to look like a more attractive & best thing for you & your horse? These horses will likely be handicapped again at their next start & have to line up against R56 horse/s again also. And I note the stripes report 2 of these 3 horses that came Last were questioned performance & had blood samples taken. Hmm not rocket science as to why. Unless horse is super-horse or on something or just has alot of ability & is heading for the top, then very hard to go around an entire field of older horses that are more experienced & have more wins that you at that time or sit (drawn to face the breeze, oppose a nice handy fence run). I note Cormac Leo also is now in same cateogory wins on debut so now R50.
  22. Is that because of lack of horses? Did a quick count & running around in North there are approx 250 that have raced in past 4 months. So field size makes sense say approx 100 Camb - 80 Auck - 70 Mana = 250. so when having back to back racing or all that is it. Camb 10 races x 10 horses - Mana 7 races x 10 horses - Auck 8 races - 10 horses. (say these are approx acceptors lets say, then get scratchings). Pretty obvious to utilize the current race fit population to fullest, have to do what is done here North America shorten the distance racing to miles or 1700 or whatever. That way they can race more often per month, oppose fortnightly. Looks like Camb did that the other nite. Not sure what can be done in the South as the distance is already shorter at a 1950 metres. Which works.
  23. Haven't looked at trotters, but that sounds terrible too.
  24. Here is yet another example Race 2 R45 to R56 Auckland Mr President 3yo 3 start 1 win R49 has to race against R56. And wait! for it he too is handicapped against him. Its Pref barrier draw! He also gets handed a 2nd row draw. Meanwhile Horse gifted barrier 3 is a 2 win 5yo 17 start with form of 4 placings in past 5 runs R48. 15 start 2 win 3yo With Style gets barrier 4 R49. Ideal Kingdom 13 start 2 wins 3yo gets barrier 5. 10 start 1 win 3yo Colonel Lincoln gets the number 1 draw R45. How unfair is this?! No wonder its a common phrase used by owners who say "dont win too quickly, its hard on them if they do". No shit. It is. This is terrible.
