So here's the deal. A horse from Woodend Beach trainer debut's- get onnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn . Now if the other talk is correct then my multi with Franco Hoffman {10's and 3's} is looking good despite it drawing 8. Mind you Sarah's driving it so that's a big assist in a junior drivers derby

Certainly doesn't need the money from horses. Although does lease barns to others.

That coincided with their move to Woodend beach. Had 3 barns going 1 being breakers/pre- trainers and the other 2 racing or near racing. Employed lots of staff whilst at the same time buying up some nice parcels of land out that way

Race 4 D Butt (MASTERLY) [Rule 869(2) and Whip & Rein Regs] - Used whip free of the rein and with more than a wrist flicking motion. Fined $500. Fined probably twice his driving fee but does he not watch races anymore given new whip rules have been around for some time. Arrives back in birdcage and throws his whip away in full view of everyone.

James Francis reining one home at 10's and change on the first day at Westport. Following to 2 Nairn horses wins the Xmas credit card account is paid and in a healthy credit. Her indoors knows nothing of this activity.😃 -

Well spotted HS. Mind you form reversals on the Coast are the norm rather than the exception. For many ,its just a trip away and the chance to unwind post races. I always follow P Nairn and anything James Francis takes over

Given all the noise about a certain beach and its racing inhabitants any resultant cases will be fascinating to say the least. As the old sayings goes " there is no smoke without fire". but "innocent until proven other wise" is also in play" Only time will tell

Yes. Various breakers/pre trainers will ask Mark or Nat to have a sit behind what they consider to be a very good prospect. I recall an owner i know getting enthused about MP trialing one of his young horses only to be told no thanks as it might be scratching to be in the top 8 in the stable.. Rejected. Said horse won 4 or 5 races out of a variety of stables. Hope this helps

As most are their 2nd tier horses it might be a case of making hay while the sun shines. All Stars always have a good cleanout in January. Most of todays starters will be on that list especially Reverred- serial under performer by their high standards IMO

His brother Barry trained a few gallopers whilst Mark raced a few with Pilch out of Jellies stable. I recall Ants having a go as well with a grey mare when they were at West Melton. Dont think it made the grade.

Wins the last at Cromwell gallops today when the $$$$ were on . Only trains a few so well done him. Might be trying to do a B Court who also won a race down south today, at big odds after successful protest

Agree about Brad's drive and Sheree following him but why did she pull out at the turn , surely cost her 2nd if she had stayed on fence as plenty of space there.

You sound surprised. He never rocks the boat on TV especially Box Seat. He would not want to upset other harness participants he has to deal with currently or in future in his others positions I always thought only the Stewards could call a race abandoned, post event.
