  1. I remember watching a documentary about English 80's duo Yazoo (Vince Clarke / Alison Moyet). I was surprised to learn that Vince had also founded Depeche Mode, The Assembley and Erasure, all in the space of 6 years! A bit of trivia. After leaving Depeche Mode Vince wrote 'Only You' and offered it back to the band but they declined. Turned out to be a big hit for Yazoo.
  2. Its OK team. I've loaded up on Zargos to win.

  7. That brought back bad memories of our match against the James Gang. 😬 Up 4-1 with a $700 aggregate lead going into race 9, Jack lands a BB 45-1 shot, the rest of the Gang chip-in in the last and suddenly we've lost 2-3, behind in the team aggregate and short of a bonus team profit. This time Max lands the big one in race 9 and then we get rumbled by the Jungle. 1 point from a team score of $1660, oh the pain! Congrats Max & team. And Graeme, if that's plucking picks out of the sky then I think you need to throw that form guide away. Phenomenal performance Porky. 💪 cheers R

  15. Saw him perform at the record-breaking Serious Moonlight Tour show at Western Springs in 1983. I was standing somewhere in the area marked in red. 🤩
  16. As youngsters I can remember the first albums we ever brought were those top of the pop LPS they use to sell at the corner diaries. It would be latest pop songs sung (murdered) by local artists. But we still thought it was cool to be able to play these songs as often and whenever we liked. Then we started collecting those 20 Solid Gold Hits albums (Ktel?) We thought we were in heaven!
  17. Brought their first 3 albums (cassettes back then). Chance from The Crossing was my all time favourite Big Country song. 👊
