ROUND 9 - Saturday March 12 (NOTE THE EARLY START)

The first half of the comp draws to a close Saturday with the clear leaders - The Reapers - taking it easy with a bye. No prizes for guessing which match they will choose for their aggregate showdown.

Their nearest challengers - Kelly's Heroes & The Desperados - clash in a big one where the Heroe's will lash out with a Triple Joker. Theoretically they could even end the day on top of the table ! The Roland v Rex tie will be worth a watch...

Elsewhere The Ramones have a gig against a Joker-playing Dream Team while a couple of mid-table sides who aspire to greater heights - The Coyotes & Union Jacks - face off in what is sure to be a tight contest.

Then we have perhaps the day's most interesting clash - The Battle of the Basement - where two sides with just 7 points between them from 8 rounds lock horns. The Believers have a Joker to chuck into the mix for good measure. This could be a cracker !

Special mention for Richie - the only unbeaten player left. Sharpshooter sniper Stevie N (aka The Ghost) could be the one to bring him down. We shall see.
