Equestriad Posted July 17, 2023 Share Posted July 17, 2023 (edited) Update 2: Falaise never had Quill, She only bought Chloe a family member has confirmed 😅 May the quest to find his info continue Update: A kind person has given my question to a family member and they will be getting back to me shortly with the answer if Quill was purchased the same time as Chloe 🙂 Mrs F J Hales Had Astra Tune as a Race horse and later my Mum bred a horse called Quill from her riding horse who was Astra Tune / Chloe in 1985 He was bred to be her pet and next riding horse not for racing. He appears as unnamed on the studbook. Quill's Sire was Sir Bart. My Mum sadly had to sell Chloe and Quill. They went to Bryan and Janine McVicar. Very briefly though, Bryan told me he doesn't recall even breaking Quill in but he can't recall who bought him. On the studbook I see F J Hales having Chloe again around the 88 mark. I want to track down who bought Quill. He possibly had McVicar brands and I have been sent photos of what that looks like. There is a chance F J Hales bought him too but sadly she has passed away. I wanted to find a photo of Quill to show Mum what he looked like grown up but it's like he vanished I have contacted so many people. Even though Quill has no links to racing other than his parents. Hales used to be in racing way back and I was wondering if anyone knew a family member I could ask questions to? Hi there, Thank you for infomation. I tried to post on the Amberley Facebook page but it got deleted 😔 I think I broke a rule haha. I will try again with an edit. Do you know if she still has any family around? If I could, I would ask a relative if she purchased Astra Tune and Quill at the same time and see if that lead to getting a photo. Your mother is amazing, please thank her for me❤️ Will do, there also is a lot of Hales on Facebook and I mean a lot just in Christchurch alone haha...I could pick out a couple and see if I strike lucky. I could try a random shot at a Hales on FB, last time I tried that I got snapped at hahaha They were crept out their father had the same name as the man I wanted to know about and they freaked. A lady recommended I put my post there😅 I think I found a family member, from the deans side who was caring for a family tree page...Not sure how to pitch it, his name was on a public page I guess that's ok. Equestriad Posted July 21, 2023 Author Share Posted July 21, 2023 Righty, After a huge search I talked with a family member who sent my message onward to another member of the Hales family and.....Falaise never had Quill, she just bought Chloe😅 Now I have to update all my posts on this subject lol..
