Annual Blues Brothers reunion - long-time lethal combination Roland, Gordy, Geoff, Pete, Howie ..... always a highlight on the calendar as we go merrily a-chompin' on rival miscellaneous outfits. 2nd last season ...and very well-placed to go one better this time as our conquerors the Chiefs fade into oblivion under the weight of their own expectation. Pete and I have turn-about as Blues Captain, and Pete I'm wondering if you're ok to assume command this time around, if at all possible. Many thanks for an Aurumn NPC Comp, PJ.

I suspect that the Yahabeebe will use their 'bye' game next Saturday to "muscle in" on the 'Hot Baches' v 'Wurzel' game. Nothing set in concrete yet, but that is what the smart money is saying.😉

Well done, Maxi, Robert, and your fellow Max Factors .🙂 .... Maxi-mising your Joker play with a very good and thoroughly-deserved victory over us Yahabeebe in certainly a keenly-contested tussle. I believe that we Yahabeebe will come away with a Team Profit point and a Higher Aggregate point ..... so not such a bad day at the office after all for us.....that's a Team Profit two weeks in a row so we're certainly putting ourselves in the frame. Grand performances on the Yahabeebe side today from our Richie and Wrinkles ...both in scintillating form. Well done, fellas. 🙂 Lucky that we withdrew our Jeopardy Card play today late in the pre-game "shuffle" after giving the matter further consideration. The Maxi Factors certainly up to the task. We'll have to see if there's anyone higher than us when next we next consider launching our Jeopardy card. 😊 A grand day of racing again ... thanks very much for this quality entertainment, PJ ....you're an absolute superstar. I blame 'Roots' ! 😃 If 'Roots' hadn't opted to scratch then 'first-cab-off-the-rank' Robert wouldn't have lobbed in with Lavish Girl as his scratching replacement ( despite Maxi's determined efforts to give him 'Bons A Pearla' instead ! ) 😁 I'll be having words with you, 'Roots' ! You'd have to think that Decent Raine would be better suited to Randwick than Caulfield, on the basis that ............. does it ever stop raining on Sydney ? 🤔 Every week I tune in to this comp and find that it's been raining in Sydney, and not only that but there's forecast plenty more rain for the Saturday. Come on Sydney ..... it's been summer. Let's get it together. 😊

It's all about pacing yourself, Maxi ....... no-one gets a prize on raceday for leading through the first 200m of the mile race. Pace distribution, for the optimum result. 🙂

Thank you Ray & the Sun N Surf for an excellent match yesterday, arguably the game of the round with it's 6 lead-changes through the course of the afternoon. It's a shame that you didn't come away with at least a point, as you certainly deserved to, Sun N Surf. We Yahabeebe stayed in the fight through the NZ round where we weren't looking entirely convincing. But fortunately for us we "grew a leg" come the Australian races, thanks to the likes of Best of Bordeaux, Pinstriped and the mercurial Home Affairs. Well done, my "teamies" Heather, Richie, Rob & Wrinkles. In the end, very happy with 3 points from a match against a team the calibre of the Surf N Turf. We Yahabeebe ain't gonna win this comp, sadly, as the blowing of our Joker took away that prospect. On our day we can however beat any one, as we have shown with wins aginst the runaway leaders the OffnGone (4-1); the 2nd placed Wurzels (3-2); and the the 4th-placed Surf N Turf (3-2) ..... but as others have alluded to ya gotta bring your best game in the biggest moment, the Joker play, and we fell short that one costly day. Great competition, expertly run by PJ as always ...... very, very close between all the teams as the points table confirms. Such excellent fun on a Saturday afternoon. Best show in town. Even though we're only halfway through the card, I'm sensing that the Heather (Yahabeebe) v Geoff (Surf N Turf) match will be decisive.

Snap ! 🙂 Yahabeebes looking where to play their Jeopardy card ....and Maxi's Mob came up in caucus as a likely target given that the threshold 1000 Team Aggregate for any given day would have them at full stretch. 😀

If only Mega Bourbon had arrived one stride sooner ..... 2-0 would have sounded much better better for Yahabeebe than 0-1. Could, woulda, shoulda ! 🙂 Hard to haul in front-runners at Ellerslie.

Well done to Alan and PJ and their Grim Reapers ... we Yahabeebe fought back well after staring down the barrel of a possible 0-5 halfway through the programme ..... clawed our way back to 3-2 up ...... then down to 2-3 going into the last where Lighthouse nearly pulled if off for the team when running 2nd. When I say nearly pulled it off, what a dominant win by Tofane ! Grim Reapers are sailing along nicely,and are going to go very close to winning this thing. Joker plays are always so important every comp as the Hot Baches and the Mr Aybees so convincingly proved yesterday (at opposite ends of the spectrum !). Creating wild swings up and down the leaderboard depending which side your team's luck (and skill ! ) was on. With our Yahabeebe Joker play having gone down the gurgler a week back, we were pretty much consigned to the role of 'spoiler' from that point onwards, so we'll see if we can notch up a few good wins between now and comp's end to keep rival miscellaneous outfits on their toes. Great play by our Richie today to top our team's score, and just bad luck that he came up against a very much in-form PJ who is finding winners with relative ease. Please don't ever do that again, PJ, when you're up against the Yahabeebe. 😀 And so it's onwards and upwards as we march off towards next week's match against the Surf N Turf, where bragging rights will be earned by either Howie (Yahabeebe) or Geoff (Surf N Turf) come day's end. My money's on Howie's Yahabeebe ...... but then I would say that, wouldn't I. 😊. We all hope that Rex, an integral part of the PJ Comp family, is back on board picking winners next Saturday. Our thoughts are very much with our friend. Thanks PJ for another exciting comp day, immaculately organised and run as always. Very well done, Maria and the Hot Baches. Too strong today ! A thoroughly deserved victory. It was a poor day at the office for the Yahabeebes .... and I was somewhat surprised to see us leading into the last after being behind almost the entire day. So our Joker has gone down the gurgler, meaning we're gonna have to play out of our skins from hereon in to pull off a win in this comp. But we've got a strong lineup, and we will come again for sure, so don't get too complacent you other miscellaneous line-ups ! 😊. Cheers for another very entertaining comp day, PJ. Always compelling.
