Hesi Posted June 23, 2019 Posted June 23, 2019 Not bad for a country boy from Foxton Sir Christopher? 2 Quote
VC! Posted June 26, 2019 Posted June 26, 2019 (edited) Waller is a super star, his staff are well looked after slings galore He also was pushing for training to start a little bit later in the morning He is always promoting the sport, and pushed hard for The Autumn Sun to race on, he realises patrons/public need to form an association with certain horses, how can they when the studs retire them before they are out of nappies The people’s champions will always be female now eg Makybe Diva Black Caviar Winx The AJC realise this hence the introduction of a new race called the Golden Eagle introduced to keep these stallions in work for at least another season CJW no doubt at Royal Ascot sussing Out just whom he can take over there next year For a bloke who came over here with nothing winning his first race at Gosford from memory he has just broken the record this season training 18 group one winners he was equal with the legendary Tommy Smith on 17 now the record belongs to the Captain Foxton Fantastic Edited June 26, 2019 by VC! 2 Quote
Hesi Posted June 26, 2019 Author Posted June 26, 2019 Can't argue with that, he has proven himself in the hotbed of Sydney racing. I note a few others that also have left, have not done anywhere near as well. They have established themselves, but not exerted dominance in the way Waller has......John Sargent, Bjorn Baker, Trent Busuttin. What is it about Waller? 1 Quote
