Howard Atkinson Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 I was at my local Avondale races yesterday, and was interested to see a starter named 'Teak' in a maiden sprint. My mind went roaming back to a very good steeplechaser of the '70s also named 'Teak'. Central Districts galloper I seem to recall ...won a Grand National Steeplechase from memory. Yesterday's 'Teak' ran 2nd @ $6.70 a place. 2 Quote
pete Posted September 6, 2023 Posted September 6, 2023 Here's a bio on Freda White who trained him. He was certainly well named. https://teara.govt.nz/en/biographies/5w24/white-evelyn-freda 2 Quote
