Well Grimson might of made off with the NZ Cup with a miracle winner in SWAYZEE.

now for his next trick .

After winning the last 2 Interdominion Grand Finals with battlers (old tried horses) that never won again after that, and were sacked by him . surprise surprise.

Now he has ex New Zealand horse NERANO winning tonight in the second round 2023 . Beating Aus Group 1 winner Better Eclipse easily and the Mark Purdon owned Auckland Cup winner Turn It Up . Nerano a 2 win from 16 starts in NZ in a slashing ?? 1.59 MR at Addington fastest time. Of course Grimson can knock off 2 the best in Australia with it !!!

why not ? he's had 49 miracle horses so far winning about 200 races that they wouldn't of won without him . The Miracles continue ...........................

Swayzee only 3rd tonight. Real front runners course, and the final will be dictated by the draw methinks.  Nice to see Spirit Of Saint Louis running home nicely for second, after getting held up by a tiring RockinRoll Do in his first heat.

Running 2nd here to the local Champ LEAP TO FAME tonight. Grant Dixon is nearly the greatest bloke I've met in 45 years near the sport. So nice if he can win.

Leap to FAME 's owner already a multi millionaire though (but has propped up Brisbane Harness racing for decades) so i really hope .........

either Spirit of St Louis or Leap To Fame can WIN the final and stop the Grimson train in it's tracks .

He's had a great (and busy ) year . 19 starts for 7 wins and 5 x 2nd placings so far and $550,000 in prize money. would of near cracked the million for the year if could of grabbed Betterzippit late on in the $1,000,000 Nullibor race in April.  

Still might win the Interdominion yet ..... and get to the million for the year. would be fantastic for All those owners. 🏆

Yeah ,he has always looked good. I remember him looping a field in his 3rd or 4th start down South and thought ,boy this horse has speed. Going places and he certainly has.

Cam Hart is such a good driver no wonder he's winning all these races.

Spirit of St Louis nearly had the Heat won after sitting 1-1 in the running and sweeping up to tackle the local Speak the Truth.

But Cam had gone from 3 back the fence , to angle 4 out in the bat of an eye turning for home and rushed up to take the Win outside of Spirit with yet 'Another' Grimson horse in NERANO , an ex new zealand horse who is barely qualified for this grade . Cam just drives them too well I think, and keeps knocking off the good horses ...

At least Spirit should get in the Grand Final now and have another crack at it anyway. Cam hart will be driving Swayzee in that so Nerano mightened feature (hopefully not anyway as want Larry to win it from Spirit lol )

Not as much luck with Swayzee . getting 4 back on the fence and having No luck in getting out for Cam Hart and trainer Grimson. finished 4th and safely into Grand Final next week. Jack Trainor (kiwi lad)  will drive stable-mate Nerano. 

None of you guys would remember the last INTERDOMINION Grand Final at Brisbane , but the kiwi's were heavily involved,

Not quite. Yule Star was a very good horse, a central districts horse that worked his way up through the grades and became a very good stayer. He won an Inter, NZ Cup, FFA and AG Hunter Cup and set many records in the process. Mate I have been watching Inters since 1969.

Yeah he was a real beauty . Albion Park here address is even named after him when road entry was redeveloped . Albion Park is in Yulestar Street .. how neat.

And the field is out . Grimson got the one and three . you wouldn't read about it.  Anyway Larry (Leap to Fame) might give it a shake anyway (hopefully lol).

Mark Purdon owned horse TURN IT UP is fast beginner so might make it harder for Grimson (hopefully)

with the poor scheduling (Nz had it's BIG GROUP 1 race day , Derby Day last Sunday at Addington)  No Nz trainers could make it over.

Best we have in the trotters is Queen Elida for her Nz owners and ex-pat kiwi trainer Brent Lilley ...will be NZ rep as best we can do.

Just Believe won all his heats last year in the Interdominion and looks set to repeat from the good draw. 

Jess Tubbs and Sugars partnership might be hard pressed to Win the Pacers Final (field above) with Better Eclipse from the second row draw , but should make up for it here with Just Believe looking Good to retain the Title as best trotter Southern Hemisphere.

I notice Spirit is parked right behind Turn It Up so hopefully can get a cart through early. Fireworks at the start of it anyhow. If they slow the pace down up front at any stage, then it could play into the hands of Better Eclipse as he can sprint around them and Sugars is a legend driver.

Well with No kiwi's turning up to Win like Yulestar and Take A Moment did last time we had a Brisbane Interdominion ..........

the Local Hero and Best horse in the World (for this weekend anyway) has taken Victory .

Demolishing the NZ Trotting Cup winner Swayzee (3rd in photo here) with Better Eclipse 2nd in near World Record time and Big margin.

Congratulations to Trainer /Driver Grant Dixon (and owner Seymour who has literally poured millions into Qld harness )

Grant Dixon near the nicest bloke going in harness. Never heard a bad word out of his mouth about anyone , or anything . A Champion Bloke. 🏆

and 'Ollie' wins at ASCOT just now too in the west. his final ride in the 'Gold Rush'. Australia is blessed today with 2 Champions having a Big Moment .
