  1. Think you hit the nail on the head there NG. Avantage (in the Photo above) had won 9 Group 1's , and Melody Belle had won the Most Group 1's of any thoroughbred ever, on NZ racetracks. Imperatriz their stable-mate had just the 4 x Group 1 victories in New Zealand.
  2. some good one's there Rob . Sunline won the most of her races in Australia. She only had 9 or 10 race starts in total on NZ tracks in her career , and Won All of them !πŸ†πŸ₯° what a star 🌟.
  3. PJ if allowed I made an error here. I put Number 10 when it was really number 6 Olentia that I wanted. In a moment of madness, and not looking properly, I put her Barrier Draw instead of her race number. I do apologize. Is it possible to have 1 - 6 BB that I really wanted in race 9 Randwick ?
  4. Thanks PJ, best of luck to your team Old Mate to make the GF πŸ† Here's some for a showdown with Pete to get in the Presidents Cup . best of luck Pete. and thanks for the trots comp last night mate. (hope you are feeling better today too) Star 'Factory' men Mr Gee and Max have been played well into form with a huge quinella at the Cambridge trots . Now for the double lads πŸ† πŸ˜‰ go factory !! 1. Riccarton R2 / 2 - 15 2. Riccarton R3 / 6 - 9 BB 3. Riccarton R4 / 1 - 4 4. Riccarton R5 / 2 - 14 5. Riccarton R6 / 1 - 9 6. Randwick R5 / 2 - 6 7. Randwick R6 / 1 - 3 8. Randwick R7 / 9 - 15 9. Randwick R8 / 2 - 10 10. Randwick R9 / 1 - 6 BB
  5. you were pacing along beautifully in the end then . Max and Gee had us all off the bit and not hitting straps lol. cleared out big -time. can't beat a good trifecta for a big winning margin. Let's see if Max can back up tomorrow against your flying gulls πŸ˜†πŸ‡ Merlin just keeps on winning. The Entain boss got a good one there. Loving Jolimont . had a big bet on him tonight. might be Auckland Cup chance if Merlin and co have a break. Self Assured is going great guns , and loves an Auckland Cup run too. so he will be in it. and very hard to beat over that course.
  6. nice . yeah Carter pretty experienced now. he could drive them all even better than B.O . Carter was driving Krug well and quite a few others. Have you seen the 'Adore Me' filly go? is really wracking up a few wins for Dalgety's team. Blair should be driving a few of his own (training/owning) to keep him motivated and attached and not just doing 'driving fees', nearly all the pro drivers in Nz and Aus have that extra achievement of 'doing their own' which really helps with focus . What did you think of Jolimont πŸ₯° ? very nice Sweet Lou horse. Mark had him cruising πŸ’°. Arna D had big team in tonight and she prepares them very well
  7. your new suit has got them on the run already Max . great work boss !!
  8. What have you done Max ? you've scared the scorer off before we got to the Big race πŸ€• . (nice picking in that trot though πŸ’°)
  9. And Mr 'trots' Gee Nails another one in the 7th to crack the Ton. Captain of the Factory Max with the Trifecta . double ton to him. LB makes a factory hattrick By the look of that 'Flock of Seagulls ' towards the bottom of the ladder , you might as well fly away now boys rather than take the Factory on ??. Watch out for Pete's Mrs tomorrow Rees. you're not hitting your straps mate ? πŸ˜‰ might have to let your hopples out .?
  10. you might have to add the quinella in for Karrots there thanks Pete. She'll be cranky if we can't find her a winner for dinner.
  11. Just reading Imperatriz retired now after career with 10 Group 1 wins total. Only 4 of those in New Zealand though. So for a bit of Thurs/Fri Trivia , while waiting for the Slot-trots to kick off >>>>>>> Can you name the any of the 5 Horses with the Most Group 1 wins on New-Zealand tracks ?? (I only got 2 lol )
  12. Looks like a good one in there for Max to get the money on .. Number 5 😁 What an event it is ! The Grand National. Akin to the Pamplona Running of the Bulls for non-stop unpredictable danger action. Both events running from tradition, and looking quite death defying for all the participants. Incredible stuff to see. and Video footage of them both makes you hold your breath everytime, (possibly in anticipation of disaster) but to the Victor > the Spoils.
  13. The 6 Aussies are tuned up for a Big Kiwi crushing in the 2 Cambridge Feature slot's hot on the heels of the Oz Ghost Patrick 'SWAYZEE' 's NZ Cup effort. 2 More Big Wins coming up? . Go the Queenslander !! here's some more winners too (all going well πŸ˜‰βš‘) Race 1/ 1 - 7 - 8 Race2/ 7 - 10 - 12 Race3/ 4 - 10 -12 Race4/ 2 - 4 - 6 Best Bet A lady drivers race !! πŸ† with 3 of the Best lady drivers on the planet that i've ever seen in it. they sure look Best Bet quality πŸ’ƒ. Race5/ 2 - 5 - 6 Race6/ slot trot 1 - 2 - 3 oi-oi-oi πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί ⚑⚑⚑ Race7/ 2 - 5 - 8 Race8/ 3 - 8 - 9 Race9/ Race by Grins 7 - 10 - 11 Best Bet No 'Leap To Fame' to get in the way of QLD mate 'Speak The Truth'πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ίβš‘. so time to bring home the kiwi bacon πŸ˜…πŸ˜ŽπŸ’° thanks Pete !!!!! . good luck to all racers and people competing here too.

exactly right . one of those completely thankless jobs . building a racetrack . with 500 kg beasts charging flat out on it. A true Recipe for disaster. Eagle Farm was cutting up badly 2013 , so was closed for 2 years from 2014 for the mega re-modelling . re-opened and carved up again 2016- 2017 , re-done and still a disaster by 2021 when some trainers not even nominating to race on it anymore . so a Third re-surface was done. and 3rd time lucky seems to be playing well from late 2022 thank goodness. and Brisbane has great climate too and can race all year round. gets a bit dry in the Spring these days so need lot of watering then. possibly too much sand in the Ellerslie surface construct? always makes it a bit shifty no matter what the weather. Complete re-do needed?
  15. I have one of these old Turf Digest from Nz (a while back lol ) and yeah there's 5 meetings and even the 2 tiny trots meetings have the first 3 from the year before listed under the selections. Here's the Grand national Hurdles field. I remember seeing CURDU race for the great Ken Browne. (Crown Star showing as the year before winner)
  16. Yeah we have to take Pete down on Friday trots Rees on our home 'harness' tracks . Before he smacks into me on Saturday on the galloping wonders 😁. Maybe we can DQ him Friday after the running on Friday evening if Pete does well.... as if he's running it? isn't that 'Running and Handling' 😁
  17. That's good Karrots . it's a hard race to win though and usually the Best in the nation will win it each year. (or run 2nd like Akuta) . hard to see the Pub being in the top 6 in nation.. and they didn't even bother putting Self Assured in it (NZ Cup) last year , and so he Won the Nz FFA on Showday instead 3 days later , to defend his crown in that race which he did at great odds too for the 2nd year running. Hat-Trick in Nov ? A solid chance in The Grin Race this Friday too. Self Assured having won the first one 2 years ago already. Anyway can't wait to see them go !! . The country Cup will see your mate the 'RePub' stride out against JOLIMONT . don't hold your breath on a win, with the Champ Marky Boy Purdon , driving the 'Jolly' good horse lol.πŸ˜… (and has a couple of Arna stable-mates to help him along too ) πŸ˜πŸ˜‰πŸŒŸ
  18. Turf Digest odds are out for the Finals after the completion of all The Rounds play The Championship STYX ridden hard all season by top jock Howie. cruised into finals triple-Jokerless and with Maizey and Robert fast out of the barriers Everytime , and Gordy 'In and Out ' (more times than a NZ test cricketer) from behind the couch to snatch wins.. this team looks Set for the Victory 1-1 Even Money πŸ’° OLD MATE ridden hard up near the front with perfection by the ever reliable Black Caviar. It Took a superstar of the track to beat Black Caviar in the previous Super 7 comp, but his strong 2nd placing has him tuned to perfection , along with the scorer PJ to take it right up to STYX this week for the GF spot. 2-1 2nd fav SHOWTIME guided by one of the best in the business, Dancing 'Kah' Maria the show might end stop here this week , and gallop on into the final after some impressive lead up form . If Craigos is 'On Song' from his music channel and the blind squirrel see's any light at all ..into the final they will go !!! 3- 1 firm KAOS using joker play , and team driving to great effect to look for a place in the final .' Razor' Siegfried Ray may be starting to get a bit blunt after too many 'close shaves' and with a loss last week , they have drifted in the market and will need a bit of 'Control' to Get Smart and take the Win this week and next 4- 1 drifting The President's Cup Reapers with Hesi riding like a man possessed all season the Reapers have been at the back , up the front, buried on the fence and attacking 3 and 4 wide. This jock never gives up and will be hammering out strong sectionals this week to get a Cup spot. Subject of a betting plunge .. 1- 2 two to one ON Fav Seagulls masterly handled all season by reinsman Pete , who pops up all over the place on Nz tracks to lend his experience and expertise to great effect. Even handed the trotting blokes a 'hammering' in the last trot comp ( a feat he is likely to repeat this Friday on that form ) and along with his Solid Team handed Hesi back his Triple Joker last week with a Minus one score , so goes into the Cup with a strong chance to repeat . Pete has drawn poorly this week though , a wide barrier against an erratic opponent πŸ˜‰, who chops at legs and is already an Nz cup winner and might be looking to add a Presidents Cup to the Factory shelf 😎 2- 1 2nd fav Magic has seen Sharne and the team including the lucky Cat , cast a spell over the opponents and not far off the final . If Jammo gets his head out of the Whiska's and stops licking his .... this team could be kicking some this week and be a great Presidents Cup hope . 3- 1 firm The Factory ridden by the factory manager Max 'kiwi' million , Max saw KIWI come home from the back once (Melbourne Cup 83') and is awaiting some similar finish from his team . been over 40 years since that great day . so is still lingering at the back of the pack with his 'outsider' factory workers . so at least are always an out-side Chance !! 5- 1 no supportπŸ˜…
  19. A handy effort Karrots , but has he stepped up ? He hasn't won this year . and just one Win Last year ( when trailed the leader and passing laned) I don't think he can win Friday either. 35m be too far back for him ? in a country Cup championship. The Sweet Lou is in that we were telling you about JOLIMONT. Arna once again putting Mark aboard again steering . What a Winning Combo That is !!! πŸ† 1 005412 Boudica 6 m R60 1 Ft Andre Poutama Tony Thomas 2 595324 Bad Medicine 6 g R61 2 Ft David Butcher Arna Donnelly 3 141342 Two Eye See 4 h R59 3 Ft Logan Hollis Logan Hollis & Shane Robertson 4 373281 Hesashorething 6 h R57 U1 Ft Jay Abernethy Adrienne Matthews 5 268445 Brookies Jaffa 8 g R61 U2 Ft Peter Ferguson Jason Teaz 6 P06356 New York Minute 7 g R59 U3 Ft Zev Meredith(J) Arna Donnelly 7 211982 Smoke On The Water 4 g R70 1 10m Samantha Ottley Matt Purvis 8 211326 Miki Shan 4 h R68 2 10m Maurice McKendry Maurice McKendry 9 344111 Jolimont 4 g R68 U1 10m Mark Purdon Arna Donnelly 10 645345 Village Rebel 5 g R66 U2 10m Sailesh Abernethy Nicky Chilcott 11 245X69 Republican Party 5 h R98 1 35m Blair Orange Cran & Chrissie Dalgety
  20. Thanks Pete. Good to see a bit of Aussie involvement to keep the locals on their toes at Cambridge and RP πŸ˜‰βš‘πŸ˜Ž
  21. Well done Howie . another Styx victory today and you are probably favourite's to win the Final. best of Luck. The Reapers will be looking to smash the Factory now in the Presidents Cup in the lower half..... But maybe Max fancies a Spot as President of NZ-PJ racing ?
  22. Well some are charming , others are legends . Celestial and all lol. where's your mate Hesi ? rumour has it he has given up and gone to the Movies?. might catch a bit of Hitchcock.
  23. was thinking of un-loading it on Howie , but couldn't be that cruel. βš‘βš‘βš‘βš‘πŸ˜‰
  24. First Immortal race 9 spose to be best thing of all time today apparently . gunna be a long day waiting for it. Hey great to see the champion New Zealand mare having a go in the Sydney mud. Hope Imperatriz can get the win again.
