Hesi
Yeah, coincidentally I was just viewing Maija Vance's Facebook page, and she had posted that same video. As an aside, what a remarkable recovery she has made, from fears she may not have walked again. LookingForValue
https://www.theaustralian.com.au/video/id-5348771529001-5798321884001/jockey-remounts-after-being-knocked-from-horse-during-fall-then-wins-race Jockey Aaron Kuru and his horse, Des De Jeu, recovered from an almost disasterous jump during a steeplechase event at Awapuni Racing Centre in North Palmerstown, New Zealand, allowing them to storm to victory on June 16. Despite a heavy crash at the first fence which saw Des De Jeu hit the ground and Kuru being knocked off the saddle, Kuru was able to remount the horse and somehow managed to get back in contention. The final stages saw Des De Jeu, which had been second favorite at the start of the race, storm through to a victory, with Kuru’s feat soon going viral. In an interview following the race, Kuru said: “I can’t really explain it, it just sort of happened.” He added: “after the first, he jumped pretty well.” Edited September 16, 2019 by LookingForValue
