mardigras
With the news that SA will no longer host jumps races, that leaves just Victoria as the only state still running jumps races. Oakbank no longer.
Turny
Yep, just sign of the times and we won't be far behind with SI jumping almost finished
Hesi
I hope for the sake of thoroughbred racing in NZ, that NZTR have implemented Reco 16 from the Messara Report 16. Introduce robust processes to establish traceability from birth and the re-homing of the entire thoroughbred herd, as the foundation stone of the industry’s ongoing animal welfare program. This is the question most asked of me by younger people, when they know I follow horse racing

Freda
There is a form that is supposed to be filled in when a horse is retired. But, there seems to be no accountability if that isn't done, and no apparent means - or inclination - to actually trace any particular horse if that is desired. So, more lip service. Hesi
Perhaps someone could find out the latest status of this. If it has been done properly there should be a database available on the NZTR website
