Weigh In Nov 28 for all the fawning Michael Guerin fans

Sound off but had a quick scan through to see if there was anyone interesting on. Thought I saw Guerin look like he was apologising about it before he asked the Minister a question. Couldn't think of anything the Minister could add to current topical knowledge anyway. What on earth would he bother asking him about?

Interesting comments from the Minister.

Cutting thru it, seems clear Geo Blocking is a couple of years away at least, if achievable at all. No home run here.

One of the more likely options is a 100% sale which would deliver a better betting platform.

Reality is the *urgent* investigation into fuel prices was instigated 18 months ago and still no outcome. Surely is a slow process.

Don't we already know that? As far as I'm aware it's only at the point of the Minister mulling over whether or not he has a case to present to cabinet for writing a bill and that has plenty of hurdles to even get that far by the time he considers issues such as Fair Trade, harm, equity for punters, public perception, loss of GST revenue etc.  Can't see that progressing under the current government so hardly a hot issue at this point.

Note at 34.50 McAnulty does say that a Minister could just change regulations if it does not require legislative change

He didn't sound very convincing on making change any time soon and put up a number of hurdles to jump.

Storm in a teacup stuff, just won't happen but they may engineer a sale then the problem gone no need for future bailouts
