karrotsishere
How is everything going? What have I missed? So there is some sort of petition to save the Hall of Musuem at Alex P. Ill post link. Have a mate entered in some Stable comp soon. Double points they reckon tomorrow & they are going for Gold. How is everyone else going if entered? Sweetie is learning her craft nicely in paddock. Sweet Lous must be getting popular tho as Sweetie had an offer. No wonder NZ esp North short of numbers. Gee whiz. In paddock & get an offer. At this stage Karrots is like no. Want to see her race. But can see why people sell. Republican Party for Nod! Reading Halberg for Double R! Yes go go go!!! On a slightly not so positive note, heard that court case hasnt started yet. Be rescheduled. Could be rescheduled up to 6 months time. But no doubt will come to be.

Can't win races while milling about eating grass lol.😆 Old mate 'Spirit of St Louis' flopped tonight at the Interdominion. Not used to long distance racing having been in Aus to long now. (where mainly short distance). But Here's a fun Fact for you !! You should take up training ? as ALL Nine Pacing Heats of this years 2022 Victoria Interdominion were won by Lady Trainers ! quite extroadinary!!. The ladies Also running about 6 -7 Trifecta's as well even across the nine heats. Showing the boys how to do it 😅. Amanda Turnbull and KerryAnn Morris also providing quinellas tonight running close seconds. Jess Tubbs also Clean swept across the 3 Trotters Heats with JUST BELIEVE. Only one Nz trained rep . Tony Herlihy sent over BOLT for BRILLIANCE in the trotters and he won a heat with 2 close seconds as well. But yea Spirit (Lous) are best suited to short distance. Oz & USA are perfect racing places for them. Speed horses. Speaking of Lous & Aus just checked out on HRNZ Aces leaderboard 5 Lous exported & 7 all other sires exported 2yo boys. So yes Lous popular. Also see a 2yo Lou filly hasnt raced just exported. Go Hidden Talent for Globe. And Go the females. Cleaning up. Excellent stuff.
Addington
The cream rose to the top again with All Stars having a great day when the money is up. God bless them from the top of my TAB balance

Nathan said he would have won easily, but he shifted slightly in the sulky to pull the plugs and she sensed it, and took her mind off the job. Hidden Talent is headed for the top, if she can foot it with the boys. Special times ahead.

karrotsishere
Is R Dunn the 2IC or is he the new CEO of ATC or is he both? Hearing conflicting reports. Hopefully whoever actually is the new CEO will improve things. Edited December 11, 2022 by karrotsishere

Hopefully whoever actually is the new CEO will improve things. Won't make a difference. Another predictable number of nominations at Auckland this week. There must be serious questions being asked about the viability of Auckland racing. That club must be bleeding money in its own right and not contributing to the general health of the game with its turnover. Why don't HRNZ publish figures anymore? Can someone direct me to where they do? Looking at Invercargill Cup Day nominations I feel very sad for the industry down there. 5 noms for 3 year old race, 9 for a non winners $15 000 race, 7 for a fillies race, 7 for a 2 year old race of $20 000 and 17 in total for 2 $20 000 races. What are the owners and trainers thinking not being involved in this day? At least, the Cup holds up to some extent, a paltry 10. Is this finally the emergence of lower breeding/foal numbers in recent years?

A self perpetuating downward spiral. We have Majestic Man in at Auckland on Friday, and to make up numbers as well as give the MM some company, Phill nominated Love In the Port for the same race. Auckland have 71 noms for eight races .

There is so much racing coming up it will be interesting to see how it holds up in Canterbury. Wednesday and Thursday back to back next week before 3 days on the coast and Rangiora on the 1st. Happy Sunrise
And I might add 13th, 15th and 17th of January on all weather. That is really stretching the ranks.
karrotsishere
Plus also factor in other things such as councils wanting land to build housing or property developers wanting for same reason. Circling in. In North on some Prime locations. From memory think Cambridge own its land but then maybe part of it is leased, eg the stabling block. Something like that. And council will be wanting that land back soon.
